A shopper has taken to social media in outrage after a size 10 knitted cardigan on Shein was described as an 'XL'.
Writing on Twitter, the person shared a screengrab of the item in question, and wrote: "Guys look at these fu**ing sizes."
And other users were equally shocked, with one person responding: "Omg. No wonder we have such serious issues over our body sizes.
"XL in Penneys (Primark) is an 18. Where is this shop?! Ffs. XL is a 10? Wtf? I'm plus size & XL or 2 XL is grand, material depending. FS no wonder I hate myself so much."
Another said: 'I’m underweight and recovering from an ed but according to that website i’m an L... "
"Size does not define you! keep going, you’ve got this," replied another user.
"I know there isn’t a size 12/14 but I’d dread to think what that could end up being if this is what they think those sizes should be," said one.
Another tweeted: "Before I read the comments, I thought those numbers were how many they have in stock lol."
The product - the DAZY Drop Shoulder Patched Pocket Open Front Cardigan - is priced at £25.49 and lists a size four as a small, a six as a medium, an eight as a large and a 10 as an extra large.
Tyla has contacted Shein for comment.
Earlier this year, we told you how one woman slammed US clothing brand American Eagle after complaining about its sizing.
Writing on Twitter, the customer claimed the brand's size eight shorts (UK size 12) were actually smaller than its size six (UK size 10) style from the previous year.
"@AEO what the f**k is up!!! This year your size 8 shorts are smaller than last years size six???" she said.
"I (and everyone else I'm sure) would like to not have body dysmorphia every time I try on a pair of shorts, respectfully, get it together."
