Fans of the English national football team have come out in support for a young fan who received disgusting comments from trolls after she was pictured crying following Germany's loss to England.
The Euro 2020 match between England and Germany on Tuesday finished with England winning 2-0. It was a historic win but while some fans celebrated respectfully, others decided the troll the innocent girl, who was seen wearing face paint inspired by the German flag.
Thousands of fans could be heard celebrating after the camera panned to the young German fan who was in tears after her team lost.

As the footage was shown on TV and on the giant screen in the stadium, the adult the girl was with, presumably her father, hugged her as the fans in the stadiums cheered.
England fans also celebrated the young girl crying outside the stadium too. A YouTuber tweeted "never in my life have I been prouder to be English than when I heard a pub full of people erupt into cheers after seeing a 10 year old German girl crying in the crowd."
The tweet has received a lot of backlash, with one person responding: "This devalues England's victory. Why cheer at a crying 6-year-old girl? What's she done to deserve that? If the other way round, and German fans had cheered at my daughter crying, I'd have called them classless and mean..."
People took to Twitter to call-out the nasty comments aimed at the girl. "How low have we sank that some people think its acceptable for a four year old little crying German girl to be called a [sl*g] and a C-bomb. They'll be openly supporting and laughing about child abuse next," one fan wrote on Twitter.

Another fan said: "England fans making fun of the little German girl crying... This is why nobody wants England to win a thing."
While a third shared: "They showed a girl crying and the crowd cheered.... How much lower can this [country] sink???"
