Elon Musk issues cryptic response after FBI give major update on Jeffrey Epstein’s 'client list'

The 53-year-old Tesla boss has taken to X to share his thoughts on the latest FBI update

Elon Musk has issued his very cryptic response after the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) issued a major update on Jeffrey Epstein's alleged 'client list'.

In a joint investigation, the FBI and US Justice Department finally released the CCTV footage from the convicted child sex offender's prison cell from the day of his death back in August 2019.

Despite mass conspiracy theories and speculation online, the FBI has made a number of conclusions about the case, namely sharing a crucial update on Epstein's 'client list', adding that Epstein was not murdered during his 36-day stay at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan.

The investigation also found no evidence that Epstein 'blackmailed prominent individuals', according to the two-page memo.

However, that's not stopped the Trump administration, and District Attorney Pam Bondi in particular, getting slammed for 'lying' about Epstein's 'client list'.

Bondi previously vowed she would publicly release documents connected to the infamous case, saying earlier this year that there are 'a lot of documents' related to Epstein that were sitting 'on her desk' waiting to be reviewed.

She was asked on Fox News: "The [Department of Justice] may be releasing the list of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients – will that really happen?"

Bondi said: "It’s sitting on my desk right now to review; that has been a directive by President Trump.

"I’m reviewing that, I’m reviewing JFK files, MLK files. That’s all in the process of being reviewed, because that was done at the directive of the president from all of these agencies."

She added: "Donald Trump doesn’t make empty promises. I think promises made, promises kept. And that’s why we’re all there to carry out his directive about making America safe and prosperous."

Tyla has previously reached out to the Department of Justice for comment.

Musk shared a popular meme format which sees a man getting ready in clown make-up and attire with four separate statements corresponding to the four different stages of the clown's getting ready process.

They read as follow: "WE WILL RELEASE THE EPSTEIN LIST.

"WE JUST NEED MORE TIME.

"THE EPSTEIN LIST IS ON MY DESK.

"THERE IS NO EPSTEIN LIST."

He captioned the meme with an angry swearing face emoji.

Another account, quote-tweeted: "What happened to 'the client list is on my desk?'

"What happened to 'the Epstein files part 2?'

"What happened to those magical binders.

"What a farce."

Musk then quote-tweeted that post, adding: "This is the final straw."

While it's not immediately clear what exactly Musk means by this being the 'final straw', he has made his views on the matter very public.

Earlier today, he retweeted a post which hit out: "If the entire government is protecting pedophiles, it has officially become the government against the people.

"I hope you all understand that."

He also captioned an image depicting 'The Official Jeffrey Epstein Pedophile Arrest Counter' which showed simply '0000', writing: "What’s the time? Oh look, it’s no-one-has-been-arrested-o’clock again..."

Trump previously claimed his administration would release the Epstein files to the public and, during what is being dubbed their 'break-up', former DOGE spearhead Musk claimed that the 79-year-old Republican was in the Epstein files himself, alleging that was 'the real reason they have not been made public'.

Musk then told people that 'the truth will come out' before deleting the social media post and later saying he went 'too far' with some of his tweets.

Trump being named in these files does not implicate wrongdoing, it must be noted.

AXIOS reports that the FBI's latest findings represent the first time Trump's administration has 'officially contradicted conspiracy theories about Epstein's activities and his death - theories that had been pushed by the FBI's top two officials before Trump appointed them to the bureau'.
