FBI share crucial update on Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘client list’ and it’s raising major questions about Trump’s administration

The FBI and US Justice Department have also shared footage of the child sex offender's prison cell from the day he was found dead

Warning: This article contains discussion of suicide which some readers may find distressing.

It's been nearly six years since notorious sex predator Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his prison cell aged 66 in 2019.

In a joint investigation, the Justice Department and FBI have made a number of conclusions - namely sharing a crucial update on Epstein's 'client list' and it's now raising some pretty major questions about US president Donald Trump’s administration.

Epstein, who was accused of sex trafficking young girls, was found hanged in his cell while in custody on 10 August, 2019 - a death which soon sparked a number of conspiracy theories over whether or not it was a suicide and whether the disgraced former financier was killed to prevent him from giving evidence that might incriminate politicians, royal family members and celebrities alike.

According to such conspiracy theorists, Epstein kept hold of a list of clients who he blackmailed for influence.

And, it was this exact secret ring of famous and government figures that they are convinced had the convicted sex offender killed before staging it to look like a suicide.

The latest update in the case sees the FBI confirming that he didn't keep a supposed 'client list', adding that Epstein was not murdered during his 36-stay at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan.

The investigation also found no evidence that Epstein 'blackmailed prominent individuals', according to the two-page memo.

The memo also says that no one else involved in the Epstein case will be charged with Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell currently serving a 20-year sentence for child sex trafficking and related offences.

Earlier this year, the FBI claimed they had proof that Epstein's death was a suicide and that they had a video to prove it - which they've now released following the investigation.

The footage in question is more than 10 hours of CCTV of the view in front of Epstein's cell door.

While the door itself isn't visible, AXIOS reports that the FBI and the Justice Department say it proves that nobody murdered Epstein as the camera would have seen anyone going to the door and entering the cell.

Trump previously claimed his administration would release the Epstein files to the public and, during what is being dubbed their 'break-up', former DOGE spearhead Elon Musk claimed that the 79-year-old Republican was in the Epstein files himself, alleging that was 'the real reason they have not been made public'.

Musk then told people that 'the truth will come out' before deleting the social media post and later saying he went 'too far' with some of his tweets.

Trump being named in these files does not implicate wrongdoing, it must be noted.

AXIOS reports that the FBI's latest findings represent the first time Trump's administration has 'officially contradicted conspiracy theories about Epstein's activities and his death — theories that had been pushed by the FBI's top two officials before Trump appointed them to the bureau'.
