Fool Me Once fans have praised a ‘100/10’ Harlan Coben thriller series on Amazon Prime, with some saying it’s arguably the ‘best’ show that’s been adapted from his books.

Coben fever is officially in full swing after the latest series starring Michelle Keegan shot to the top of the Netflix charts in no time.

Naturally, after finishing the saga, many people have been trying to fill the void with similar programmes - including hits based on some of the writer's other efforts, like The Stranger, Stay Close and Safe.

We even came up with five thrillers to binge-watch after finishing Fool Me Once, which was compiled based on the nifty 'more to watch' Netflix algorithm.

But while many of Coben’s adaptations are sitting happily on Netflix, there’s one that you may have missed over on another streaming site.

Based on his 2011 young adult novel, Shelter stars Jaden Michael, Constance Zimmer, Abby Corrigan and Adrian Greensmith.

It follows Mickey Bolitar as he stars a new life in Kasselton, New Jersey, following the sudden death of his father.

However, he suddenly becomes tangled up in the mysterious disappearance of a student at his school, in turn leading him to the belly of a dark underworld hiding within the quiet suburban community.

The series was released on Amazon Prime video back in August last year, but has recently attracted a new audience after the released of Fool Me Once.

Naturally, people have been HOOKED, with some saying it’s the ‘best series’ adapted from Coben’s work.

Tweeting last week, one fan wrote: “Harlan Coben’s Shelter is a 100/10.”

Someone else said: “Have you [watched] Harlan Coben's Shelter? It’s the best series he [has] but [it’s] on Amazon Prime.”

A third wrote: “This one is so intricate. It is amazing.”

A fourth added: "Some of the recent adaptations of Harlan Coben's books have done a good job in being brought to screens. Shelter on #AmazonPrime is a nice example."

The series was released last August.

In fact, some people were so engrossed that they had absolutely no idea about the bad news that came in November last year... Yep, sadly, it was cancelled by Amazon Prime Video.

“Are you telling me I just finished Harlan Coben’s Shelter (the show) just to look it up and see it got cancelled,” one fumed.

While many of Coben’s shows are designed to be standalone mini-series, Shelter was one where fans were expecting things could continue.

Coben previously told the Radio Times that he had ideas for a second instalment, even if there were no confirmed plans to renew it at the time.

When asked what he'd like to see in season 2, the famed author explained: "You'd want to know where Mickey goes from here, where other characters go from here. It's a really rich world.

"We haven't really scratched the surface of Abeona and what the Bat Lady is running here. Spoon's background, Ema's background, all these people actually have hidden secrets that would hopefully be revealed and talked about in future seasons."

Fans were particularly frustrated as the first season ended on a huge cliffhanger – though don’t worry, we won’t spoil that one for you if you haven’t watched it yet.
