It's finally happened, guys: Jennifer Lawrence has joined Instagram!
The 36-year-old actress, famous for starring in blockbuster smash hits like The Hunger Games, Silver Linings Playbook, Die My Love and No Hard Feelings, just to name a handful, has at long last taken the plunge and set up a verified public account on the social media platform.
Her handle is her iconic nickname 'JLaw', with the Hollywood A-lister joking in her bio: "jenniferlawrence was taken."
And, arguably even more iconic, her profile pic is a snap of the star sipping a drink with a head full of foils, giving the camera some major side-eye.

While she has yet to share a single grid post, Lawrence's account currently boasts 659k followers and counting. She only follows 45 accounts, FYI.

Fans have since rushed online to share their reactions to the news, with one X user beaming: "Finally!!!!!!!"
"OH WE'VE BEEN PRAYING FOR DAYS LIKE THESE!" gushed a second.
A third joked: "That's rude to take a handle clearly meant for Jude Law."
"Don’t mistake her for Jude Law," echoed a fourth, while a fifth chimed in: "JLaw is coming to end JLo (not serious)."
"The profile pic is hilarious," a sixth added.
Another praised: "This iconic a** handle."

And a final X user quipped: "Ofc that’s her bio."
Lawrence has spent over a decade without a public social media account.
Speaking on BBC 1 Radio back in 2014, she revealed: "I'm not very good on [the] phone or technology."
"I cannot really keep up with emails, so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me," she said at the time. "I don't really understand what it is. It's like this weird enigma that people talk about. It's fine. I respect that."
That's not to say that she's not online; back in 2019, she shared with InStyle: "I’m on it. But I’m a voyeur: I watch, I don’t speak.
"There is always so much backlash. So many people are listening and paying attention, and they have so many opinions about absolutely everything."
Lawrence, who shares two young children with her husband, Cooke Maroney, whom she tied the knot with back in 2019, continued: "I really don’t want to welcome that unless it’s absolutely necessary.
"I don’t want to put myself out there for no reason. Unless I’m promoting something or something really burns my onions, you won't hear from me."
