If you’re one of the many people who rattled through Harlan Coben’s latest series, Fool Me Once, in no time at all, you’ll no doubt be in need of a new show to get stuck into.

The eight-part saga, adapted from Coben’s novel of the same name, stars Michelle Keegan as a widow who is coming to terms with the brutal murder of her husband when she is shocked to see him in her home.

After a truly dramatic ending, many of us were left wanting more – though of course it’s unlikely we’ll get a season two, as is standard with most of Coben’s miniseries.

People have been loving Netflix's latest thriller series, Fool Me Once.

Thankfully, Netflix has a handy function using an algorithm that allows you to see ‘more like this’, showing a list of suggestions that are similar to the series or film you’re looking at.

And on this occasion it’s recommending some equally solid watches from recent years, including a few that may have completely passed you by.

First up, we’ve got Hold Tight.

This is an adaptation of a novel from – yep, you’ve guessed it – Mr Coben, which was released in 2022.

“When a young man goes missing soon after his friend dies, life in a tight-knit, affluent Warsaw suburb slowly unravels, exposing secrets and lies,” a synopsis for the limited says.

Netflix also recommends four-part 2020 thriller The Deceived, which follows a Cambridge student’s illicit affair with her married professor as it takes a sinister turn when a ‘shocking death makes her question their love – and her sanity’.

And yes, PAUL MESCAL IS IN IT!!!

Also released in 2022, Inside Man is next on the must-watch list.

Starring the likes of David Tennant, Stanley Tucci and Lydia West, we see an ‘American death row prisoner with a sideline in solving mysteries’ helping a young British journalist as she searches for a friend who’s suddenly disappeared.

Developed by Sherlock co-creator Steven Moffat, you know you’re in good hands with this one.

Paranoid is another suggestion for Fool Me Once fans, as it’s another gripping eight-episode crime drama.

Originally released on ITV back in 2016, the series focuses on a group of UK detectives as they realise a murder has surprising links to a German pharmaceutical company.

Finally, we’ve got another Coben classic with Stay Close.

This is set in the fictional suburb of Livingstone as a mysterious disappearance sets off a ‘chain reaction in the lives of people connected to both men’.

Elsewhere in the suggestions, we’ve got plenty more solid options – albeit a few rogue choices in there, too.

The TV shows are Those Who Wish Me Dead, Gone For Good, You Don’t Know Me, The Forest, Louder Milk, A Nearly Normal Family, Bodies, Behind Her Eyes, The Golden Hour, Locked In, The Fall, Mindhunter, Gilmore Girls (!?), Boundaries, The Missing, Dead to Me, Berlin and The Sinner, along with films Belfast, Bank of Dave and My Life With the Walter Boys.
