Unless you've been living under a rock since New Year's Day, you'll know that Harlan Coben's eagerly-anticipated crime thriller series has finally landed on Netflix.

While many of us have already binge-watched the entire thing since it first landed on the streaming platform on Monday (1 January), Fool Me Once is not actually the writer's best TV series, according to Rotten Tomatoes.

Fool Me Once, starring Michelle Keegan, already has a pretty impressive 71 percent on the Tomatometer but Coben's highest-rated series on the review-aggregation site totally trumps it with a staggering 92 percent.

The series in question, which first hit our screens back in 2021, is titled Stay Close and follows 'four people, dark secrets, and a past that threatens their lives...'

Starring Cush Jumbo, James Nesbitt, Richard Armitage and Sarah Parish, the gripping thriller really questions just how much you really know someone.

Stay Close is closely followed by Shelter (2023) which is rated 88 percent before The Stranger (2020) at 83 percent and Safe (2018) which has scored the same as Fool Me Once also at 71 percent.

With that said, however, it's clear Netflix viewers are beyond obsessed with the latest addition to the platform.

One X (formerly Twitter), user penned: "I did not expect to end Fool Me Once in floods of tears but that was BRILLIANT."

A second chimed in: "First binge-watch of the year! Amazing limited series was at the edge of my seat all day. All the suspense, twists and that ending though... Harlan keep them coming!"

"Yesterday we binged Harlan Coben's latest on Netflix, Fool Me Once... Highly recommend!!!" quipped a third.

Another gushed: "Fool Me Once on Netflix 1000/10."

"Fool Me Once on Netflix has me glued to the TV," added a final Netflix viewer.

The official Netflix premise of Fool Me Once, which is the streaming platform's eighth Coben adaptation, reads: "Harlan Coben’s Fool Me Once follows Maya Stern (Michelle Keegan) who is trying to come to terms with the brutal murder of her husband, Joe (Richard Armitage).

"But when Maya installs a nanny-cam to keep an eye on her young daughter, she is shocked to see a man she recognises in her house. Her husband, who she thought was dead...

"Detective Sergeant Sami Kierce (Akhtar) leads the homicide investigation into Joe's death while grappling with secrets of his own. Meanwhile, Maya's niece and nephew, Abby and Daniel, are trying to find the truth about their mother's murder, several months earlier.

"Are the two cases connected? Fool Me Once follows these characters on a thrilling hunt for the truth that will reveal shocking secrets and change their lives forever."

Both Fool Me Once and Stay Close are currently available to stream on Netflix.
