The news of American country singer Jelly Roll's divorce from his wife of 10 years, Bunnie Xo, broke earlier this week.
Court records show that Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, in Williamson County, Tennessee, late last month (18 May).
The pair first crossed paths more than a decade ago after meeting at one of his concerts at the Country Saloon in Las Vegas back in 2015.
They ended up getting engaged the following year before secretly marrying in a courthouse ceremony later that same night.

In 2023, the former married couple renewed their wedding vows at that same Las Vegas chapel, with Bunnie also embracing her role as stepmother to Jelly Roll's two children from previous relationships.
The 'Save Me' singer is father to daughter Bailee, 18, and nine-year-old son Noah.
Bailee has since taken to social media to break her silence on the divorce.
Taking to her TikTok Stories on Tuesday (16 June), Bailee Ann slammed: "Oh & one more thing I am disgusted at how invested everyone is in a very clearly private family matter. It's fkn
crazy.
"Go on somewhere, y'all. Worry bout your house- not mine. I'm not speaking on it - yet."
She then added a follow-up statement: "I can say on a more positive note - thank you to everyone who is showing me so much love and kindness through everything.
"At the end of the day, no matter what, we are all humans with feelings, and that is worthy of compassion.
"Thank you for the kind messages, the words of support, and those of you who go out of your way to make me feel protected & seen. I love y'all."
Her message continued: "I will never forget those of you that have shown me empathy when I'm seeing a lot of hate. Thank you. So much. And to everyone else, I hope humanity can evolve to a place where kindness comes first.
"I understand & respect opinions and that a public profile is a public profile, but that doesn't have to mean we throw away our human decency. I love ALL of you."
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo meet at one of the former’s shows at the Las Vegas Country Saloon. This was before Jelly Roll enjoyed mainstream success. He’s living in a van and only around 20 people are at the gig. They talk backstage. At the time, Bunnie is dating someone else.
Later, Bunnie splits from her ex and asks a friend to give her Jelly Roll’s number. Bunnie says Jelly Roll would call and text her for advice about his daughter Bailee, from a previous relationship.
The pair’s relationship turns romantic when Jelly Roll travels to Vegas to film a music video and Bunnie offers to put him up at her place.
Jelly Roll proposes to Bunnie onstage at a Yelawolf and Deftones concert in Las Vegas. He tells her: “[I wanna know] will your fine a** marry my white trash a** tonight in Las Vegas?” That night, they tie the knot at The Little White Chapel.
Jelly Roll welcomes a son, Noah Buddy, with an ex. In 2016, Jelly Roll and Bunnie are also granted primary custody of Bailee due to her mother’s substance abuse issues.
Jelly Roll cheats on Bunnie, and the pair temporarily separate. Jelly Roll later calls the affair ‘one of the worst moments of his adulthood’.
He says he ‘did a lot of work to repair that relationship’ on the Human School podcast. They rekindle their relationship later that year.
Bunnie launches the Dumb Blonde podcast, which goes on to be a massive success, with Dolly Parton and MGK appearing as guests.
Jelly Roll’s music takes off in a big way. His single ‘Son of a Sinner’ hits No. 1 on Billboard's US Country Airplay chart.
