Excited dog says 'yes' to owner's proposal before woman has chance to reply

Excited dog says 'yes' to owner's proposal before woman has chance to reply

The pooch gave her seal of approval before the bride-to-be could

An adorable pooch was quick to give her approval after her owner’s partner proposed on a beach - before the lucky lady even got a chance to say ‘yes’.

Vicky Jones was over the moon when her boyfriend Josh Stewart dropped on one knee and popped the question in a surprise proposal last month (28 May).

But before she could even utter the word ‘yes’, her excited Dalmatian-cross Breeze jumped up onto her back legs as though she was the one being asked.

Delighted Vicky says she was too caught up in the moment to notice that 11-year-old Breeze was trying to steal her man - so that’s something.

The limelight-loving dog can be seen looking super excited in photos taken at the time, leaving the couple in stitches when they looked back on them later.

Breeze the dog was quick to accept the proposal.

Vicky, from Plymouth, Devon, said: "The proposal was very unexpected.

"Apparently, he was planning it for a couple of months and everyone knew apart from me.

"When he asked the question I said yes, but obviously the dog said yes before me. Apparently, dogs sense things before humans so [she was right].

"I was in shock and I was like, 'what's going on?' So the dog led the way in that situation.

"I don't know if she thought the ring was a stick or a treat, she's very food-orientated.

"She jumped up as soon as he got down on one knee, she was so excited. I didn't recognise that the dog was there because I was so in the moment.

"But luckily it's so funny to look back at the pictures and see her playing the fool like she usually does.

"We just laughed so hard because it's something she'd always do. She's always the centre of attention.

"She has a good relationship with my fiancé. If I'm not at home, she snuggles up with him.

"She's just such a funny dog. She has a permanent smile on her face.

Breeze managed to completely steal the limelight.

"I'm very lucky to have her, she's a great dog."

The couple haven’t yet set a date for their big day but they’re also considering including a role for Breeze - I mean, let’s be honest, she is going to look incredible in those wedding snaps, isn’t she?

Vicky, who has been with Josh for three-years, said: "I'd love her to be a ring bearer at the wedding, or [at least] just be involved in all the pictures.

"As long as we have a treat at the end of the aisle, she'll definitely come to us. She loves the attention more than anything."
