We *love* McDonald's, but we've always wondered why the fast food chain doesn't sell its Big Mac Special Sauce separately.

Well, wonder no more because the restaurant has confirmed it will be selling the delicious condiment in 50ml tubs for just 50p.

Currently, customers are only able to enjoy the delicious sauce as part of a Big Mac - and that's just no good if you want to dip your nuggets in it. Which we do.

In fact, the Big Mac sauce is so sought-after, that a bottle of the good stuff was sold for £65,000 in a charity auction in 2016.

Of course, you can ask for extra Big Mac sauce IN your Big Mac, but this really doesn't solve our problem. Until now!

The tangy sauce - which is a mix of mayonnaise, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder and paprika - will go on sale for a limited period of time from Wednesday 12th February.

The sauce is usually only available in Big Macs (

McDonald's is warning fans that once they're gone, they're gone, with staff reportedly expecting big queues as well as customers trying to buy in bulk.

While some fans are planning on stocking up, it's worth noting that sadly, the sauce only has a seven-day shelf life, so we wouldn't recommend trying to bag a fridge full.

And although it's huge news for British Maccy's fans, customers in Canada, Australia and New Zealand can actually buy the delicious sauce in bottles already.

The limited edition pots will be larger than the standard tomato, sweet curry, sweet and sour and barbecue sauce tubs which are 20ml and free at McDonald's.

Fans on Twitter are already delighted at the news, with one revealing she "couldn't wait" while another said it was "about time".

In other important McDonald's news, Cheese Melt Dippers will officially leave the restaurant's menu as of next week.

The delightful cheesy side will officially be removed to make room for other promotional treats from Tuesday 28th January so it goes without saying that fans should get them while they can.

McDonald's will also say goodbye to its Spicy Chicken McNuggets, The Big Tasty and The Big Tasty with Bacon on the same date.

Devastating news yes, but at least we have the Special Sauce to see us through...
