McDonald’s has launched a £185 wedding package that includes 100 boxes of McNuggets, and we are SO here for it.

Weddings can be notoriously stressful to organise, what with venues, caterers, photographers, entertainment, guest lists, invitations, honeymoons, wedding cakes and hen and stag dos to juggle - and that’s before you’ve even had a second to think about the dress.

But what if we told you things could be simplified right down to take the stress - and cost - out of the big day? Specifically, by taking the party to McDonald’s.

There's no denying that the big day can be filled with stress.

McDonald’s has unveiled a special wedding package that costs less than £200, meaning you and your loved ones could spend the day feasting on McNuggets and Big Macs over canapés and three-course dinners (which everyone complains is dry, anyway).

The package was launched by McDonald's Indonesia and is currently only available in the country’s capital, Jakarta.

However, according to The Sun, if the idea proves popular, it could be rolled out in other countries.

The catering package includes 100 chicken burgers and 100 boxes of McNuggets or 100 cheeseburgers and 100 chicken fingers, with a minimum order for the big day being 200 pieces.

Rizki Haryadi, from McDonald's Indonesia, told The Sun: “There are other service options as well, where we can also provide food stalls at an additional cost.

“The wedding package is not for holding a wedding at a McDonald's store, but only for food, such as catering with prices starting from £185 with a minimum purchase of 200 products.”

McDonald’s weddings are already a hit in Hong Kong, where the option was launched way back in 2011.

Speaking to CNBC in 2014, Jessica Lee, a spokesperson for McDonald’s, explained: “We started the program because many customers tell us that McDonald’s is where they first started dating... McDonald’s is where their love stories grew.

“This connection is exactly why they want to hold their wedding parties and even anniversary parties at McDonald’s - to relive sweet beginnings and bring their romantic story full circle.”

At the time, CNBC reported that the fast food chain offered four separate wedding packages for couples, with prices starting from about HK$2,888 (US$373/£293) and topping out at HK$9,999 (US $1,290/£1,016).

The deluxe package included a two-hour venue rental, 50 invites, McDonald’s character gifts for 50 guests, an apple pie cake display, decorations, an MC and more.
