Taylor Swift’s mum has unexpected reaction to song about Travis Kelce’s manhood

According to Taylor's latest raunchy song, Travis' 'love was the key that opened her thighs'

Taylor Swift has revealed her mum's reaction to her most X-rated track yet - and it's not what you'd expect.

For those who somehow missed it, the 35-year-old pop star dropped her 12th studio album on Friday (3rd October) - The Life of a Showgirl.

And ever since, Swifties have been dissecting the lyrics, unpacking Easter eggs, and sharing their thoughts on social media behind what could have inspired each of the 12 tracks.

From a supposed Charli XCX diss track to a song boasting a George Michael interpolation, fans have had a lot to sink their teeth into.

And one track into particular that's certainly got people talking is 'Wood,' which features some very cheeky, NSFW lyrics and double entendres, thought to be inspired by Taylor's fiancé Travis Kelce.

Some of the most talked-about lyrics are: "Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He ah-matized me and opened my еyes / Redwood tree, it ain't hard to see / His love was thе key that opened my thighs."

Followed by: "Girls, I don't need to catch the bouquet / To know a hard rock is on the way" and "The curse on me was broken by your magic wand."

"Seems to be that you and me, we make our own luck."

The song also taps into popular superstitions such as 'black cats', 'stepping on cracks' in the pavement and, of course, 'knocking on wood'.

Perhps the most pointed reference to her NFL beau is: "New Heights of Manhood / I ain't gotta knock on wood," referencing his podcast directly, so there's no doubt who the song is about.

Talking about the track on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (October 6), Taylor opened up on how the song came about.

She said: "I brought this into the studio and I was like, 'I wanna sort of do a throwback kind of timeless sounding song. It really started out in a very innocent place.

"I dunno what happened, man, once I got in there, we started vibing and I don't know."

And now, she's also revealed what her mother, Andrea Swift, made of the provocative song.

During an interview an interview on SiriusXM’s The Morning Mash Up, Taylor said: "I think that she thinks that the song is about superstitions, popular superstitions - which it absolutely is."

She added: "That’s the joy of the double entendre. That song, you could read that song for people and it just goes right over their head. You see in that song what you wanna see in that song."

As per E! News, in another Amazon Music explanation, Taylor added: "“It’s a love story. “[It’s] about using, as a plot device, popular superstitions [and] good luck charms, bad luck charms and all these different ways we have decided things are good luck or bad luck - like knocking on wood and seeing a black cat."

She then jokingly added: "That is the way I've explored this very, very sentimental love song."
