Kayla Nicole - the former flame of NFL star Travis Kelce - has sensationally shut down accusations that the Halloween costume she sported this year was actually a veiled swipe at Taylor Swift.
For those who missed it, to celebrate the season of scares, the sports journalist slipped into a metallic bikini and see-through rhinestone dress, filming herself lip-syncing and dancing to a 00s banger.
Apparently, Nicole was dressed as singer-songwriter Toni Braxton, having taken inspiration from her 'He Wasn't Man Enough' music video.
Sharing the clip on social media, she penned in the caption: "She’s an icon. She’s a legend. She’s @tonibraxton circa 2000. #Halloween25."

In the sultry video, the star could be seen singing the lyrics: "Did you know about us back then? Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend? / I'm not thinking 'bout him / But you married him.

"Do you know I made him leave? / Do you know he begged to stay with me? / He wasn't man enough for me."
Understandably, however, it didn't take long for online trolls to associate her costume to 36-year-old Kelce, from whom she split in 2022 after several years on-off.
As a reminder, the sportsman proposed to Swift back in August after just shy of three years of dating.
"Travis wins Superbowls, Taylor wins Grammys, and Kayla wins imaginary Halloween costume contests. All such talented people," one online troll hit out after Nicole shared her video on Instagram.
Another continued: "The way Taylor won the IDGAF war while Kayla Nicole is losing her mind every single day since September 2023."
As we say, however, the sports broadcaster has since addressed these allegations, insisting her spooky get-up was nothing more than just that.
Making an appearance on the latest instalment of the Pre-Game podcast on Saturday (8 November), Nicole claimed the outfit only served to 'celebrate' Braxton.

The 34-year-old told listeners: "Halloween is an opportunity for me not to be myself and to dress up as someone that I admire, someone that I’ve been a fan of, someone that I think is chef’s kiss.
"You guys don’t want celebrities - to dress up as celebrities, but I’m confused because what am I supposed to do? A doctor? Superwoman?"
Nicole also slammed those 'try[ing] to project their own narrative' over her costume, adding: "I’m not in the business of tearing other women down. I am in the business of celebrating them."
The star continued: "I’m trying to step it up every year. Every year I’m trying to raise the bar. I’m trying to be the Heidi Klum of Halloween but on the performance side."
On the reference to Braxton, she advised listeners to check out the 58-year-old's music video, adding they 'might be surprised by the ending'.

For those who haven't seen it, the 2000 vid ends with Braxton and her cheating ex-hubby's new wife teaming up to expose his behaviour.
"Clock that," Nicole added. "Clock that, babe."
Tyla previously contacted a representative of Kayla Nicole for comment.
