Lewis Hamilton 'hard launching' Kim Kardashian on social media gains him praise following F1 backlash

Fans of Lewis Hamilton have praised the F1 star for 'hard launching' long-rumoured girlfriend Kim Kardashian on his Instagram, with many convinced she's improving his track record.

The pair appeared together at the Monaco Grand Prix over the weekend, during which the Ferrari driver equalled Ayrton Senna’s eighth podium record, taking P2 after finishing behind Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli.

While Hamilton, 41, took part in the high-stakes race, reality TV star Kardashian, 45, watched on from the paddock with her sister, Khloé.

Following his hard-fought finish, which he described as 'such a great feeling' considering the 'tricky conditions' of the race, Hamilton gushed over Kardashian in a press conference: "It is amazing to have her come this weekend and to have that support."

The British driver was also asked about the support the mother-of-four provides, after which he replied: "She does that for me every day."

In the days since, Hamilton - who has been romantically linked to Kardashian since January - shared a snap of the SKIMS boss on Instagram for the very first time, showing the brunette beauty proudly holding his helmet.

The move has been received well by fans of the joint-record seven-times F1 World Drivers' Championship title holder, who credited Kardashian for encouraging Hamilton at this stage in his career.

"She's pregnant with his 8th championship!" one joked, seemingly referencing the positioning of Hamilton's headwear.

Another added: "If it allows him to keep performing as he has been, I’m all for it."

"I’m here for it. I just hope the focus/comments shift from her to his continued growth and performance within Ferrari," a third chimed in. "True fans don’t care. We are here for Lewis always and forever."

A fourth went on: "I tried telling yall Lewis was always at his best when he was dating baddies. I knew this was going to bring the best out of him."

"She better keep this shit going up, Because i have never seen THE ROAD MASTER @LewisHamilton driving like this in a while, keep it up KIM," another fan begged.

Hamilton's praise comes after Kardashian was branded 'rude' by critics for seemingly ignoring legendary Sky Sports F1 broadcaster and former racing driver Martin Brundle before the race began.

Brundle, who famously roams the Grand Prix grid before every race with a cameraman, speaking with A-list super-fans, approached the US star, asking 'How are you today?', after which she briefly glanced at him before turning to her sister, Khloé.

After a member of her security leaned in to tell Kardashian something, Brundle told someone else, off-camera: "You don’t need to push me, mate."

Trying again, he asked: "Normally, people will have a quick chat with us, are you enjoying F1?"

After being ignored for a second time, Brundle told viewers: "Okay, Kim and Khloe, so we’re not talking today. I like to believe they might do..."

A number of social media critics went on to criticise Kardashian, with one TikTok user writing: "Lewis should have had a word with his Mrs and told her, don’t ignore Martin. Lewis knows the score."

"Where’s the respect…" another asked. "Martin Brundle being ignored by Kim K and shoved away by her bodyguard. He’s got more right to be on the grid than you do sweetie."

Dating rumours begin to swirl as The Sun reports that they take a trip together to a luxury hotel in the Cotswolds, UK.

Just one day later, Kardashian and Hamilton are seen entering a Paris hotel together, before heading to Aqua Kyoto for a date.

A source tells People: “It was a romantic meetup.”

On 8 February, the stars make their first public appearance together as they are spotted at the Super Bowl.

March 2026

Kardashian and Hamilton share similar desert landscape snaps on Instagram, suggesting they were on a trip with one another.

A source tells Us Weekly: “They are going strong and really happy. Lewis is head over heels and those closest to him believe he has finally met his match. He has waited over a decade for his dream girl and is crazy about her.”

Following the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty, Kardashian posts a pic of her Gucci look. Hamilton comments with a heart-eyed emoji.

Later that month, they’re photographed in Tokyo together. The racing car driver is in Japan for the F1, while Kardashian is there for a spring break vacation with sister Khloé and their children.

April 2026

Kardashian makes her debut on Hamilton’s Instagram page, appearing in a video of him driving, where she says: “That’s insane.”

The pair are seen watching Justin Bieber’s headline set at Coachella weekend one.

Kardashian appears to soft-launch Hamilton on Instagram as she’s seen sitting on a man’s (who has tattoos that seem to match Hamilton’s) lap. She captions the post: “Coachella Hallelujah.”

June 2026

Kardashian hard launches Hamilton on her Instagram feed, posting a pic and video of them cycling in NYC in her carousel.

“Lately,” she writes in the caption of the post.

Days later, the reality star supports him in Monaco for the Grand Prix. She’s seen hugging Hamilton before the race and then watching from the sidelines.

Hamilton says of Kardashian after the race: “It is amazing to have her come this weekend and to have that support.

“It is amazing to have good people around you, good people supporting you, and she does that for me every day.”
