Kim Kardashian has made a surprising admission about her marriage to Kanye West, revealing the rapper 'absolutely changed' her life.
The reality TV star, 45, has opened up about how her ex-husband helped transform her image in her upcoming book, Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future.
In the work, amongst a number of other bombshell revelations, Kardashian claimed West introduced her to the world of high fashion and giving her the confidence to become the global style icon she is today.
But the mother-of-four also suggested West may have fallen in love with the idea of her, rather than simply who she was.

Her comments come years after their marriage came to an end, with Kardashian now dating Formula One star Lewis Hamilton.
She and West, however, first crossed paths in the early 2000s, before their relationship turned romantic in 2012. At the time, Kardashian was best known for her on-screen career, while West had already established himself as one of the biggest names in music.

The pair quickly became one of the most talked-about couples in showbiz, tying the knot in a lavish Italian wedding in 2014. They went on to welcome four children together - North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm.
However, their relationship eventually broke down, with the SKIMS CEO filing for divorce - which took almost two years to finalise - in February 2021.
Since then, Kardashian has spoken about the challenges of their split, while also taking time to focus on her children, career and personal wellbeing.
She previously revealed that she spent five years single following their separation, explaining that she wanted to heal and work on herself before opening up to another relationship.
Now, Kardashian has offered another glimpse into her marriage to the rapper, revealing just how much he influenced the person she became.
The admission comes in an extract from journalist Jonathan Van Meter's upcoming book, published by The Cut.
Reflecting on West's approach to both music and relationships, Kardashian suggested that her former husband was drawn to things that other people might overlook, before finding a way to make them desirable.

She explained: "I realise that he loves, like, a project, right? I think he really fell in love with the idea of me, and the project behind it all. He loves things that maybe aren't cool and 'I'm going to make them cool.'
"Whether it's, like, 'I'm going to stop rapping and do a whole singing album, like 808s (& Heartbreak).' And everyone's like, 'How could you not rap? It's blasphemy!' And then it's the best album."
Kardashian went on to suggest that West saw her reality TV background as something he could help change people's perceptions of.
"I think he's like, 'Let me be with a reality star. No one respects it. I'm going to show you how cool it is'," she continued. "He changed my life. He absolutely changed my life."
The star also reflected on how West helped shape her relationship with fashion, admitting she had a lot to learn when they first got together.
"I just didn't know anything about high fashion," Kardashian confessed. "There were all these fashion books piled up. It was time to get to work and learn. He gave me so much confidence."

According to the book extract, West helped overhaul his wife's wardrobe and encouraged her to establish herself in fashion circles, with his influence extending to major industry events.
The change was significant, with Kardashian eventually becoming a regular presence at some of the world's biggest fashion events.
These latest comments aren't the first time she has reflected on the impact her marriage had on her life, however.
Over the years, she has discussed how the relationship influenced her career, style and personal growth, even as their marriage became increasingly difficult, including while speaking to The Sunday Times earlier this month.
"I was really single for five years," she told the publication. "That felt great. I could focus on my kids and projects that I really wanted to be involved with. I really felt no rush. Like, I really didn't feel empty."
Kardashian added: "I felt like I needed my time. I wanted to completely heal and just work on myself. I wasn't ready to open up."

She added that she wanted to focus on her children and projects she was passionate about, rather than rushing into another relationship.
"I really wasn't even thinking about it. The universe works in your favor when you just allow it to."
As we say, for a few happy months now, Kardashian has been enjoying a new romantic chapter with race car driver Lewis Hamilton.
She's known the seven-time Formula One world champion for years, but dating rumours began swirling earlier in 2026 before soon being confirmed.
Since then, the pair have been spotted together at high-profile events, with Kardashian even supporting Hamilton at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Following her attendance, Hamilton gushed in a press conference: "It’s amazing to have her come this weekend and have her support.
"It’s amazing to have good people around you, and good people supporting you, and you know, she does that for me every day."
