Kim Kardashian recalls her father Robert’s final request to ‘Take care of the other ones’
Kim Kardashian’s last words to her father Robert Kardashian have been detailed in her new biography.
Robert, who was 59 when he died, was a highly successful lawyer who famously defended OJ Simpson against his murder charge. He passed away in September 2003 of oesophageal cancer.
As well as Kim, Robert is survived by son Rob, 39, and daughters Kourtney, 47, and Khloé, 42, reports the Daily Mail.

Kim, 46, was quoted in her biography, Citizen Kim: The Woman Who Created the Future, as saying, “The last thing my dad ever said to me was, ‘I know you’re going to be good – I can see it. It’s as if I can see what your whole life is going to be like.’”
She told author Jonathan Van Meter, “My dad didn’t go into detail, and he was kind of in and out of it: ‘I can see it.’”
She then described how he put his hand on her leg, and how she would ‘never forget it.’ Kim told the author she was lying next to her father on a couch and he said, “You’ll be fine. But take care of the other ones. And make sure your brother’s good.”
She then went on to describe the last time she ever saw her father alive.
She explained how her father could not communicate, and she recalled: “I knew his vitals were almost gone, and the last thing I said to him was, ‘Dad, thank you so much for everything that you’ve taught me, from how to be a good person, to how you did my homework with me, everything I’m going to do with my kids one day. And I’m going to take the lesson of you being in my life and carry that forward.’”
Kim explained how the pastor came into the room and said, “Everyone should say goodbye because it’s only a matter of time, and he’s holding on because you girls are here.
“Maybe say your goodbyes and then leave the house, and he’ll pass away.”
She added: “And that’s exactly what we did, and that’s exactly what happened. I left his house and drove straight to [singer] Brandy [Norwood’s] house – so, thirty minutes. And I remember I was on Brandy’s bed and I got the phone call and I knew.”
In February, Kim took to Instagram to wish her late father a happy birthday on what would have been his 82nd birthday.
Alongside footage of the attorney enjoying a skiing trip in 1995, she wrote: “Happy Birthday dad. I miss you so much every day.”
Robert was a longtime friend of American football star OJ Simpson, and when Simpson was put on trial for the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman, Robert was part of a defence team that secured an acquittal for Simpson in October 1995.
Simpson was found liable in a civil trial in 1997 and served 9 years in prison for an unrelated armed robbery charge in 2007. He died of prostate cancer in 2024.
