Get your Christmas orders in quick as there's a Lion King board game that would make the perfect gift for Disney fans.

Based on the 1994 animated film of the same name, Cardinal Games' Retro 90s Disney Lion King Board Game is one to play with all members of your family this Christmas.

The description reads: "Take yourself on a wild journey as you traverse the African savanna. You'll wander around Pride Rock and the Desolate Graveyard as you encounter villains and complete the circle of life.

"To play this exciting game, choose a character, spin the wheel, and move around the gameboard while collecting tokens.

"Special characters like Mufasa will protect you from the hyenas and Scar." Sounds thrilling!

All you need to do is to try to avoid Scar and the hyenas (just like in the iconic film) and collect four matching tokens.

The first person to get all four tokens wins the game!

One for ultimate fans of the Lion King film, whether old or young, the game is recommended for ages six and over.

And fans have praised the fun game, calling it "cute" and "a great gift for a Lion King fan".

"Cute game and lots of fun for families with younger kids," wrote one. "My kids wanted to play it over and over again."

Meanwhile another reviewer wrote: "Beautiful box, lovely to play and a great gift for a Lion King fan."

The game is available to buy on Amazon for £10.60.

Disney's Lion King followed lion cub Simba after the murder of his father by his uncle, Scar. Years later, he returns as a young lion to reclaim his throne. The popular film was also remade into a live-action movie last year.

The live-action remake starred Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar), John Oliver (Zazu), Donald Glover (Simba), Beyoncé (Nala), James Earl Jones (Mufasa), Seth Rogen (Pumbaa) and Billy Eichner (Timon).
