Wetherspoon Now Offers A Build-Your-Own Breakfast Option And It's A Game Changer

Ah, the Wetherspoon fry-up breakfast. Practically a British institution, it's cheap, cheerful and piled high with all the good stuff.

We honestly thought nothing could top it. That is, until we discovered that Spoons is now offering a build-your-own breakfast option.

The idea is that diners can now pick seven of their favourite fry-up components in order to customise your brekkie when ordering through the Wetherspoon's app.

Options include everything you'd expect: there's sausages (both veggie and meaty varieties), rashers of bacon, fried eggs, hash browns, baked beans, flat mushrooms, grilled tomato halves and slices of white or brown toast. Yum.

The hash browns, tomato, bacon and mushrooms all come in portions of two while you get one portion of egg, toast or sausages in your selection.

And for an average price of £3.65, dependent on the branch, you can create your perfect plate filled with whatever it is that takes your fancy.

(Yes, that does mean that if you want a plate full of 14 hash browns then you can do...)

The build-your-own option is currently only being trialled in 100 branches nationwide, so you'll have to check here on the app to see if your local is one of the lucky ones.

And what better way to show Spoons you're all for the idea than to get down to the nearest branch that does it and show your support?

These branches are spread across the country, and include Manchester's The Paramount on Oxford Street, Watford's The Moon Under Water, Morecambe's The Eric Bartholomew, Preston's The Grey Friar, and The Furness Railway in Barrow.

Despite only just launching, the new build-your-own brekkie option has gone down a storm with fans of the pub chain.

One wrote on social media: "I've just been alerted to the fact that spoons now do a build your own breakfast. What a great day."

While another added: "Theres a build your own breakfast at spoons now.... what an incredible time to be alive".

A third shared a picture of their plate and gushed: "Welcome to Wetherspoon's build your own breakfast. #revolutionary #thefuture". We think so too.

This isn't the first time the Spoons app has been hailed for its useful functions, after they also introduced a table service option.

Cheeky pub goers soon started posting their table numbers on social media and watching the free drinks roll in from their friends and family.

Ah Spoons, whenever we think you can't get any better, you do.
