Tesco Is Selling Extra Large White Chocolate Twix Bars
The Twix is surely up there in the holy trinity of iconic UK chocolate bars, alongside Snickers and Mars. However the white chocolate version is lesser known, despite it having been knocking around since 2004.
Well here's your chance to get better acquainted with the chocolatey treat, because Tesco is now selling 'Xtra' large versions of the sweeter iteration.
That's 75 grams of caramel and biscuit deliciousness encased in white chocolate - and they're currently on sale for just 80p.
You can buy the bars in store or online, where you can also get a 9 x 23gram multipack for just £1.60. No-brainer, or what?
The twist on the classic was first introduced in 2004 for a limited time, and later made a reappearance in 2008.
In 2016, the alternative Twix launched as a seasonal limited edition treat, but a year later, Mars - who own Twix - made plans to bring them back as a permanent addition to sweet shop shelves.
Brand Eating reported they'd officially cosy in among other chocolate bars on the racks, only existing in the States at the time.
"The dark chocolate, peanut butter and white chocolate categories are some of the largest and fastest growing partitions in our industry," Twix Brand Director, llison Miazga-Bedrick, said at the time.
"We not only wanted to give Twix fans more flavour options to choose from, but all chocolate lovers more ways to enjoy our product."
Let us be thankful we can get our hands on the bar any time we like, and spare a thought for our predecessors who had to wait seasonally for their white choc Twix fix.
We shall buy up Tesco in their honour.
The exciting news comes just three weeks after Cadbury's unveiled an array of tantalising white chocolate treats that will be exclusively available at Asda.
