Nando's has officially confirmed when it will begin to reopen restaurants for dine-in.

The high street chicken joint has been operating for delivery only amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but will now also begin to open its doors for diners, with heightened safety measures.

A statement on the Nando's website reads: "We're reopening some of our restaurants for Eat-in from 8th July!

"There's only a small number to begin with, but stay tuned, we'll be adding more to the list from late July.

"To make sure it's as safe as possible for you to enjoy PERi-PERi with us, we've made some changes to our style in line with government guidelines and social distancing."

If you want to sit down in a Nando's and have the full dine-in experience, the following stores are open:

-Beckton

-Birmingham - Bullring

-Bluewater - Winter Garden

-Bolton Bromley - St Mark's Square

-Leeds - J27

-Liverpool ONE

-Manchester - Trafford Centre

-Park Royal

-Westfield London

In order to ensure the experience is safe and Covid friendly, Nando's has put a new system in place so that customers won't have to queue up outside the restaurant.

Instead, you'll need scan a QR code that you'll see when you arrive, and they'll text you when your table is ready.

The chain will also be operating so it is fully cashless, to limit transmission of the virus via money. But, don't worry, you can still collect Chilli Points using your Nando's Card.

As for social distancing? That's also going to be strictly implemented across the branch, both in kitchens and across all the tables.

The chain is also still operating with its limited menu to ensure the kitchen staff can function with reduced teams, to stay safe.

Plus, there will be sanitiser stations across the branches, and staff will come to your table - replacing their standard order at the counter format.

Now, who's off for a PERi-PERi fix?!
