M&S has expanded its vegan offering, by launching an aubergine shaped Easter egg - and it looks delicious.

The retailer announced the news on Instagram today, explaining the egg plant shaped treat is now available to buy in stores for £6.

"Stop scrolling: our 'Egg-Plant Kitchen' vegan Easter egg is here to brighten up your January in all its aubergine-shaped glory. You can thank us later. Pick it up in store now!" M&S wrote, alongside an image of the plant-based delight.

"Emojis at the ready!" M&S added. "Our debut vegan Easter egg in the Plant Kitchen range, has been cheekily shaped like an 'egg plant' (ok, an aubergine!) See what we did there?"

And fans are very into it, with one person commenting on the post: "It's not April fools yet M&S! Do you what the :eggplant: emoji is used for? Crying!"

While another said: "I've seen it all now" alongside a series of laughing emojis, and one tagged a friend adding: "I thought you'd like this."

In other very important M&S Easter news, earlier this month we told you about Walter - an adorable, chocolate sausage dog.

As part of the brand's Easter collection, adorable little Walter is priced at £5 and made from a thick and creamy milk chocolate shell, with a dark chocolate nose and eyes.

He really is almost too precious to eat... almost!

Meanwhile, the retailer is also selling a gigantic Percy Pig for Easter. The huge smiling Percy Egg is made entirely of mouthwatering chocolate and features an adorable snout, pink ears and jazzy sprinkled trousers.

It's already available in M&S stores nationwide, and costs £10. We're seriously going to be spoilt for choice this year...
