If you've been using this lockdown to hone your baking skills, you certainly wouldn't be the only one.

But as the weeks drag on, we've been finding we don't always have an abundance of ingredients to work with.

That's why we were thrilled to discover the super easy new food trend taking the internet by storm: Mint Aero fudge.

There are loads of recipes floating about online, but to make the easiest one, all you need is a slow cooker and three ingredients: Aero Mint chocolate, milk chocolate and condensed milk.

All you need is three ingredients (

The recipe was posted on Facebook group Slow Cooker Recipe and Tips Australia, and has since racked up over 40,000 'likes'.

All you need to do is melt the ingredients in the slow cooker for an hour and stir them every 15 minutes so they combine.

Then, pour the blended ingredients into a cool baking tray for 15 minutes, and place in the fridge for five hours.

The tasty snack has been replicated all over the web, with some adding dark chocolate too, and icing sugar for an extra hit of sweetness.

If you don't have a slow cooker, that's fine too. You can melt the ingredients on a super-low heat.

Literally, could it get any easier?!

The hashtag #mintaerofudge has now been used more than 100 times on Instagram, as everyone rushes to make the treat during lockdown.

Some people even said they found stirring all the fudge ingredients "therapeutic" and was "keeping them sane".

(We feel like it's more the eating that would do it for us...)

After sharing her version of the baked goods online, Instagram baker @mrsmorgansbrownies told Tyla: "Honestly, the inspiration was my partners constant need for everything mint aero related!"

When she posted a picture of her delicious creation, she joked: "let me tell you although I made far too much it definitely didn't last long".
