McDonald’s Is Adding Four Brand New Burgers To Its Menu

Big Mac, we love you and all, but we're pretty excited about these newbies...

McDonald's is adding four new burgers to its menu just in time for summer, and we could not be more excited.

The restaurant chain is bringing back its Great Tastes of America menu, which will include two returning favourites as well as four spanking new ones.

The burgers have been inspired by food from iconic American states including New York, South Carolina, Nashville, Alabama, Mississippi and Kansas - so there's something for everyone no matter your fave state.

Fast food aficionados can get their hands on the burgers from May 1st, but will have to be quick because they're only sticking around for eight weeks in total, with each burger hitting the menu for a limited time only.

First up, there's the brand new Alabama Chicken burger: too crispy chicken pieces nestled next to bacon, cheese, crispy onions and seasonal lettuce with a white BBQ sauce between a cornbread style bun.

Next, the Mississippi Stack, a burger layered high with two 100 per cent British and Irish beef burgers with bacon, mild cheddar, tomato and onion relish, Smokehouse BBQ sauce, red onion and lettuce in a toasted ciabatta style bun.

Another addition is the Kansas City Stack: two 100 per cent British and Irish beef burgers with bacon, smoky cheese, crispy onions and lettuce with a Steakhouse BBQ sauce in a BBQ flavoured toasted bun.

Finally, McDonald's drew inspiration from Nashville for its final new addition: the Nashville Chicken. This burger comprises two pieces of succulent crispy chicken with a sweet and spicy sauce, smoky cheese, coleslaw, jalapeños and lettuce in a toasted cornbread bun.

*Mouth dribbles*.

All burgers cost £4.39 across the UK, and Maccies will also be bringing back the Nacho Cheese Wedges (£1.59) for a side-dish if you're feeling extra indulgent.

In addition to the newbies, returning from last year are the New York Stack (two beef patties with bacon, cheese, creamy coleslaw, tomato ketchup, mustard, lettuce and pickles between a poppy seed-topped bagel) and the South Carolina Stack (British and Irish beef burgers with bacon, smoky cheese, a sweet Carolina sauce, onions and lettuce in a corn bread style bun).
