It looks like our plates just got a whole lot prettier, because Marks & Spencer has started selling edible flowers.
The premium supermarket is now selling British Edible Viola Flowers, and they're the perfect garnish to ensure that everything you cook is perfectly Instagram-able.
The flowers are grown in Evesham, Worcestershire, by a little family-owned business, and they're picked by hand to ensure only the most striking ones land on your plate.

From chucking them on your avo' on toast for brunch, garnishing your salads with them or putting them on a cocktail to make it that little bit more stunning, whatever you're thinking of knocking together, these are the perfect addition.
Just imagine your friends' faces when you bring out a Pornstar Martini adorned with these at your next garden party?!
Instagram account @newfoodsuk broke the news of the flowers on their page, sharing a snap of them, and writing: "Edible Viola Flowers new to M&S! What are your thoughts on this!?"
It seems that, overall, people were into the idea of the flowers.

'Howwww much will these level up my gins," wrote one, tagging a pal, while another shared it with their friend, too, writing: "For your pancakes".
"Will be upping his cocktail game with these," another penned.
As a fourth chipped in: "Bet these would look amazing on a cake!"
The Edible Flowers can be bought for £1.50 in stores.
The product has come at the right time, as flower baking is really having a moment.

The trend basically involves topping your baked goods with vegetables, herbs, candied fruit and real flowers in order to make your food as pretty as a blossoming garden.
It's a great opportunity to get creative, but worth noting, only some flowers are safe to eat.
