Marks And Spencer Announce Brand New Easter Themed Colin The Caterpillar

Because we can never have too much of Colin!

Easter time is creeping ever closer, and already we're preparing ourselves for a long weekend stuffing our faces with all our favourite chocolate.

While we already have a few ideas of what eggs we're hoping to get our hands on when we go on our Easter Day hunt, it seems we may have to leave some room for a slice of cake or two (or four), thanks to Marks and Spencer.

Yep, the upmarket food retailer has announced that birthday staple Colin the Caterpillar will now also be part of your Easter feast, with our cakey friend having a bit of a makeover in time for the spring season.

Colin has had an Easter make-over (

Easter-themed Colin's are complete with a top hat (complete with mini bunny ears) and a smattering of colourful eggs on his back.

The limited edition Easter Colin is in stores now for £10 - so you better move fast if you want some for the holidays! (Or if you just want Colin all to yourself, there's no judgement here).

And he's set to be popular - after Colin's new look was unveiled on the M&S Instagram, thousands commented on how they want to see him at their dinner table for over the Easter weekend.

You can now also get a Colin easter egg (

"These could become a tradition!" said one woman, tagging a pal.

Another added: "We need this," while a third chipped in: "This would complement the chip basket feast nicely!"

True Colin enthusiasts will remember this is not the first time our favourite cake has had an Easter makeover.

So last year's Easter Colin was substantially scarier (

Last year, Colin truly got into the spirit of things in a full bunny costume - however, some were less than impressed with his new look, with many fans saying this Colin looked "demonic" and drew unfortunate comparisons with Donnie Darko.

If you don't fancy a Colin cake this Easter (traitor), you can always get your hands on a Colin the Caterpillar Milk Chocolate Easter Egg for only £5 in M&S instead. It even comes complete with a treat bag of white chocolate mini Colin faces (which are undeniably the best bit).

We just can't get enough of Colin this Easter!
