Greggs is reportedly launching a vegan version of its classic sausage roll next year, and we've all just been reminded why we love the bakers so much.

There's been rumours of the bakery launching vegan products for a few years now, but it looks like the dream is finally about to become a reality.
The 'confirmation' came from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), who recently shared a few words from a leaked e-mail written by a Greggs employee.
According to reports, the email read: "We're really excited about the launch of the Vegan Sausage Roll as we know you and our customers will be too."
It looks like whoever the mystery employee was right, judging by the reaction on Twitter...

There is word that Greggs are rolling out a vegan sausage roll next year. The timing of this news, the week after I commit to veganism, is all the confirmation I needed of @GreggsOfficial and my twinned souls.

This isn't the first time Greggs has introduced vegan food items onto its menu either, as last may the bakery introduced the Mexican Bean wrap which then went on to be crowned the Best Vegan Sandwich at the PETA Food Awards 2018.
It sounds like the Vegan Sausage Roll has got a tough act to follow, but we have every faith that it'll leave us satisfied.
