Naked wedding dresses are set to be biggest fashion trend for brides walking down the aisle in 2019.

What a woman wears on her wedding day is meant to make her feel amazing, confident and ready to conquer that walk down the aisle and this new naked trend is both bold and beautiful.

And fashion forecasters are predicting that sheer fabrics, lace and flesh-toned linings will be brides' top choices this year.

Grace Loves Lace, the brand who created the most pinned wedding dress in the world with 2.5 million pins, has reported a rise in the per cent of brides choosing something nude.

The brand reported that it saw a 30 per cent rise in brides choosing a more sheer dress.

Founder Meghan Ziems told ELLE: "It is an easy way to add another fashion element to your gown and highlight the lace detail.

"Brides these days realise that dressing as a bride shouldn't be a restrictive or rule-driven process - it's actually an extension of your normal style and it's your opportunity to show your best self and your unique self.

"Plus, it's that one opportunity you have to truly experiment with your style and express it through a gown you will only wear once.

"So a lot of that boldness and individuality comes out as they design their perfect day, they in a way get to design the dress with us too."

However, if you're not ready for the trend, Meghan explained that instead of opting for a naked wedding dress, you can go for a more barely-there style by ditching the flesh-toned lining.

She said: "Whilst the nude-tone lining can certainly attract everyone, the women wanting a fresh and more minimal look will still lean toward the ivory/white linings.

"The nude-tone lining is definitely for the more adventurous and untraditional woman and also a great second dress option for the reception or after party."
