Like it or lump it, guys, fashion is cyclical, and it was only a matter of time until skinny jeans made their return.
Yep, as a society, we've been through a whole bunch of silhouettes when it comes to the denim department: bootleg, flare, mom, barrel - even the dreaded 'spray-on' style.
But one of the most divisive styles is no doubt the skinny jean, which is seemingly still very popular with Millennials despite Gen Z's p*ss-taking and preference for a baggier, more relaxed fit.
However, the youths of today are seemingly changing their tune as tight-fitting pants appear to be 'back' in fashion - but this time with some important style rules.

But, before we get into all that, it's important to remember the inevitable exhaustion with tirelessly trying to 'keep up' financially with the ever-evolving fashion landscape and trend forecasting.

So, before you rush to pick up a pair of skinnies and throw out all your baggy bottoms, it's best to take a minute and think about your personal style as well as the horrifying impact fast fashion can have on the environment.
Lucinda Pickett, fashion brand PR and trend consultant, told Mamamia: "I love a skinny jean, it's just about how you style them. Millennials back in the day would wear skinny spray-on jeans with an ankle boot and then a tight top, and there was just no proportion or silhouette in that outfit.
"If you're doing a skinny jean, whatever shoe you're wearing changes the whole shape and silhouette of the outfit.
"Plus, having an oversized shape on top, like an Oxford shirt or an oversized jacket, to balance out the skinniness of the jean.
"So if you are a Millennial and thinking, 'I don't want to touch skinny', just try playing with different balances or proportions."
Mamamia explains it's best to stick to dark washes like indigo and black, with looser ankles rather than spray-on tight styles.
Also - and this one is a big one - under no circumstances should the skinny jeans with the large ripped holes all over the knees and thighs be making any sort of return.
And it's not just skinny jeans which are having a renaissance as, apparently, Ugg boots are back too!

Now, I'll admit, I never threw out my pair of Uggs once we moved past the craze in the 2000s and early 2010s - but I did somewhat repurpose them by exclusively wearing the cosy booties in the house purely as slippers.
Even Vogue admits that the noughties classic footwear is back.
While back in the day, the likes of Sienna Miller, Kim Kardashian, Kate Moss, Paris Hilton, Gwen Stefani and SJP popularised the comfy shoes, which, as we know, were a hallmark of cool-girl style back in the 2010s, it seems a new generation of 'It girls' wearing theirs out and about has helped resuscitate the trend.
Such stars include: Bella Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski, just to name a handful.
OK, it may not be the original classic tall model which is making a comeback, but it's clear the popularity of the Ugg Ultra Mini and Ugg Ultra Mini Platform silhouettes speaks for themselves.
So, brace yourself peeps, as we may be seeing a lot more skinny jeans paired with Uggs this winter!
