McDonald’s announces collaboration with Crocs that drops today

The two iconic brands have also released limited edition shoe charms for your Crocs

McDonald’s has announced a collab with one of the most iconic footwear brands out there to create a limited edition design using the chain’s trademark red and yellow colours.

Yep, that’s right... McDonald’s themed CROCS, so that you can show off your love for a Big Mac in total comfort.

The foam footwear has become one of the most divisive shoe styles on the market, but over the years many fashion fans have found themselves gravitating towards them.

They used to be favoured by young kids or those in need of shoes that can be worn all-day without any pain – like nurses, chefs and gardeners – but these days they’re also a celebrity staple for the likes of Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid.

And now McDonald’s fans can get in on the action, thanks to a special edition design of Crocs made in bright red and yellow, with accompanying shoe charms, or ‘Jibbitz’ as they’re officially known.

The new Crocs go on sale today (Tuesday 14 November) at 12pm, and will be available to buy online from Crocs.co.uk, as well as Crocs retail locations and other retailers including Office, JD Sports and Footlocker.

Molly McKenna, Senior Director of Brand Communications at McDonald’s, said: “We’re constantly blown away by the way our fans show off their love for McDonald’s, and as it turns out, Crocs’ fanbase is just as passionate.

They drop today at 12pm.

“We’re excited to team up with Crocs – another brand that’s deeply embedded in culture – on our first-ever global shoe collab.”

The shoes are priced at £65, although prices may vary, with purchases including the McDonald’s themed Jibbitz.

If you’re just after the shoe charms, you can also pick some up for £20 for a pack of five.

“Themed around some iconic McDonald’s staples including the Big Mac, the infamous McNuggets carton, McDonald’s World-Famous Fries, the legendary Golden Arches, and the iconic McDonald’s Cup – super fans can officially wear their favourite McDonald’s order with pride!” McDonald’s said.

The McDonald's charms are also available to buy.

“The limited-edition line-up will come included with every pair – or can be purchased as a pack of five for £20.00.”

McDonald’s warned that fans will need to be quick, as ‘once they’re gone, they’re gone’, so if the fast food themed Crocs sound like a bit of you, make sure you’re ready to go at midday... takes fast fashion to a whole new level, eh?
