If you've ever been envious of kids with their Happy Meal from McDonald's, the fast food chain is now releasing an adult version.

Of course, there's nothing to stop you from just ordering a normal Happy Meal for yourself to enjoy - you do you! - but sometimes you're left hungry after a tiny burger or just four chicken nuggets and the child-size chips, or worse, the carrot sticks if you're being healthy.

More meals should come with a toy, and things just haven't been the same since most cereal manufacturers stopped putting toys in the box (remember fighting your siblings for those?).

Just days after they answered everyone's questions about Grimace, McDonald's is answering the prayer of adults everywhere with a grown-up version of their iconic treat.

It's not just a scaled up version of the kid's classic, either.

Called the McDonaldland Meal, it will include a quarter pounder with cheese, or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, fries plus a special McDonaldland Shake.

The flavour of the shake hasn't yet been named, but it's apparently 'inspired by the vibrant blue ‘lava’ and pink clouds of Mt. McDonaldland'.

The drink looks like a light blue milkshake, with what looks like a pink whipped cream on top.

Who doesn't love a blue and pink drink.

Of course, it wouldn't be a happy meal without a toy.

Each McDonaldland Meal will come with one of six collectible tins inspired by the infamous characters, and the tin also includes postcards, stickers and more.

There's a tin for Ronald McDonald, Birdie, Hamburglar, Mayor McCheese, Fry Friends, and Grimace.

Not everyone is happy about the news though, as people are speculating about the price what with the cost of living right now, and it's also not going to be available in the UK.

"As an adult I will say ain’t nothing “happy” about a fast food meal that’s gon’ run me 16 dollars," complained one Instagram commenter.

"Ain’t nun happy about a $20 meal. Let’s be for real," agreed another.

It wasn't all negative though: "Just glad Ronald is back!" wrote another, who was happy to see the return of the legend himself.

"I just want supersize fries back," said one hopeful fan.

"Make a breakfast Happy Meal" pleaded another. Got to love those hash browns.

"Propaganda I will unfortunately be falling for," joked one fan, as another quipped: "Will the ice cream machine ever work for this?"

"I hope it's a cotton candy flavour milkshake," said one suggestion.

It is being released on August 12, and while the exact locations and availability of the meal are yet to be confirmed, it unfortunately doesn't include the UK.

Jennifer 'JJ' Healan is the McDonald’s VP, U.S. Marketing, Brand, Content & Culture, and she said in a statement: “Over the past few years we’ve seen how fans flock to our characters, everyone from Grimace to the Hamburglar. But many, especially the new generation, don’t know that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There’s an entire magical world of McDonaldland filled with characters, places and lore.

“And so, for the first time in decades we are taking fans on a trip to McDonaldland with an immersive experience that taps into the past to create the future. It’s a chance for us to give fans a new, modern way to experience this magical world.

"For the first time in more than 20 years, Ronald McDonald, Grimace, Birdie, Hamburglar, Mayor McCheese and the Fry Friends are officially taking the trip out of the group chat," she added.

We'll just have to wait for the inevitable TikTok reviews.
