After a pair of British reality television stars took aim at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex this week with a video mocking Meghan's 'baby dance', the Royal Family have spoken out.

On 4 June, to celebrate her her daughter's Princess Lilibet's fourth birthday, Meghan took to Instagram to share a clip of she and husband, Prince Harry, twerking in a hospital ward.

"Four years ago today, this also happened," the mother-of-two captioned the clip, which later went viral online. "Both of our children were a week past their due dates…so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work - there was only one thing left to do!"

The video sparked a mixed reaction at the time. Whilst some critics branded the couple 'cringe' and encouraged them to 'keep some private moments…private!', others defending the pair for showing off their informal side.

Despite 43-year-old Meghan later standing by the clip - telling Aspire podcast host Emma Grede earlier this month that she's 'grateful' to be able to share her content 'on [her] own terms' - she has since been mocked by a pair of reality stars.

Parents-to-be Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo (famed for their appearance on the much-loved E4 drama series Made In Chelsea, and who announced their own first pregnancy earlier this month) took to Instagram last night to recreate the clip.

Dancing to the notorious 'Baby Mama' song during a visit to Buckingham Palace, the couple were seemingly poking fun at the Sussexes.

As well as twerking on the building's Grand Staircase - which was built for Queen Victoria - the MIC duo gyrated on the lavish red-carpet.

Knowing they were breaking the rules, 36-year-old Laing captioned the social media video: "They said we couldn't film in Buckingham Palace."

And whilst some might have thought of Laing and Habboo as firing a dig at Harry and Meghan, the Royal Family appeared to see the funny side to their clip, and took to the comments to have their say.

The Palace's official account lightheartedly wrote, 'We see you' on the pair's video, alongside a side-eye emoji and a wink.

Removing any doubt that the remark was made in jest, a Palace aid has supposedly since told press: "I'm sure it was done in a spirit of fun, and of course aligned to Jamie's wonderful support for The King's Trust Awards - even if it's not something we would greatly encourage every guest to attempt."

The King's Trust's official account also shared a comment, writing, 'All of our attendees are very well behaved' with another side-eye emoji, which was followed by a laughing face.
