Social media users have taken to the comments to defend Meghan Markle after she posted a clip of her and Prince Harry dancing around the delivery room just before the birth of Princess Lilibet.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are notoriously very private when it comes to the lives of their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.

However, as of late, Meghan has been sharing more of their kids on her social media, particularly around their birthdays.

In May, she posted a picture of her son on Instagram in celebration of his sixth birthday, and just yesterday (4 June), she shared a picture of her daughter, with the caption reading: "Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives - and each day is brighter and better because of it.

"Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!"

But the social media posts didn't stop there as the Suits star shared another one - but this time, she was in the delivery room.

In a clip on Meghan's Instagram, she could be seen dancing while heavily pregnant in the delivery room. She wrote in the caption: "Four years ago today, this also happened.

"Both of our children were a week past their due dates…so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work - there was only one thing left to do!"

Prince Harry is then spotted joining in with his wife as the two get down while awaiting the arrival of their daughter.

However, the post seemingly created a divide between viewers on social media.

Some were quick to issue their disapproval, as one person claimed it was 'not royalty', adding: "Keep some private moments…private!"

Another said: "Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are a massive embarrassment to the Royal Family.

"Simply incredible that they still retain their royal titles."

However, others defended the couple for the video, with one person even branding them 'icons'.

"Meghan and Harry are such icons." they said, while another commented: "Extremely amusing how obsessed you people always are with Meghan Markle. Y'all just hate anyone who isn’t an upper class white lady."

A third said: "Meghan Markle hate is cringe."

Referencing Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, someone else said: "Princess Diana would’ve loved to see them like this."

And a fifth wrote: "They could never make me hate her lmaooo."
