It's been days since Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released over 20,000 files relating to the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his crimes - and people are still trying to decode the information.
Although he didn't send any correspondence himself, US President Donald Trump's name popped up a few times in the emails, which has prompted the public to once again question his relationship with the criminal financier.
Most notably, one 2011 email shows Epstein telling his right-hand woman Ghislaine Maxwell that Trump 'spent hours' at his house with a victim of sex trafficking and said in a separate message years later said that that Trump 'knew about the girls'.
The Republican president has not been officially accused of any wrongdoing and has consistently denied any knowledge of Epstein’s alleged crimes and has said he ended their relationship years ago.

His argument against the release of the files was that they were a ploy put into place by Democrats as a distraction.

He wrote on Truth Social: "The Democrats are doing everything in their withering power to push the Epstein Hoax again, despite the DOJ releasing 50,000 pages of documents, in order to deflect from all of their bad policies and losses, especially the SHUTDOWN EMBARRASSMENT, where their party is in total disarray, and has no idea what to do."
However, as we say, people have been scrutinising the new information and attempting to decode what some of the emails mean - with a few in particular attracting a lot of attention.

And now, Epstein's own brother has come forward to provide clarity on one email that people thought was referencing former US President Bill Clinton, 79.
The email in question was dated March 2018 and was sent to Epstein by his brother Mark.
Epstein was told by his sibling to ask Steve Bannon, Trump’s former chief strategist, whether Russian president Vladimir Putin has 'the photos of Trump blowing Bubba'.
As per The Times, the email from Mark read: "How are you doing? A while back you mentioned that you were prediabetic. Has anything changed with that? What is your boy Donald up to now?"

Epstein responded: "All good. Bannon with me," to which then Mark wrote: "Ask him if Putin has the photos of Trump blowing Bubba?"

The convicted paedophile then quipped: "and i thought- I had tsuris," to which Mark wrote: "You and your boy Donnie can make a remake of the movie Get Hard. Sent via tin can and string."
'Bubba' is a nickname of former president Bill Clinton and a common term of endearment in the American South, leading the rumour to quickly spread that the email was referencing Clinton.

But Mark has since come forward and claimed this is not the case. He has not however revealed who 'Bubba' actually is.
A spokesperson for Mark told The Advocate of the messages: "They were simply part of a humorous private exchange between two brothers and were never meant for public release or to be interpreted as serious remarks.

"For the avoidance of doubt, the reference to ‘Bubba’ in this correspondence is not, in any way, a reference to former President Bill Clinton."

He added that 'Bubba' is a 'private individual who is not a public figure' and declined to provide any more details.
The spokesperson added: "Mark has asked me to convey that the press release will be his final statement on this matter."
Tyla has contacted a representative for Trump and Bill Clinton for comment.
