A spokesperson for Bill Clinton has issued a fiery follow-up message, after his team slammed the damning new 'dump' of Epstein files 'late on a Friday' as conspicuous.
The 79-year-old former president featured heavily in images released by the House Oversight Committee in accordance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act on Friday (19 Dec).
Despite the Committee being told weeks earlier that the deadline to release each and every file - which were initially handed to the FBI by Epstein's estate to see the media mogul convicted on sex trafficking charges in 2019 - would be Friday, the public are still anticipating hundreds more.
In one image from the latest batch, Clinton is seen swimming in a pool with late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, his now-jailed co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, and a woman whose face has been blanked out.

Another sees the Democrat standing between the paedophile and another man, with his arms draped around the pair. A third photograph also shows a woman whose face has been redacted sitting near Clinton's lap in what appears to be a private jet.
Despite the nature of these images, prosecutors do not believe they demonstrate any illegal activity by Clinton, who has long maintained he had cut ties with Epstein long before the financier's 2019 arrest, and denied all knowledge of his crimes.
In their initial response to the release, Clinton's deputy chief of staff Angel Ureña wrote on X yesterday (22 Dec) on his behalf: "The White House hasn't been hiding these files for months only to dump them late on a Friday to protect Bill Clinton.

"This is about shielding themselves from what comes next, or from what they'll try and hide forever. So they can release as many grainy, 20-plus-year-old photos as they want, but this isn't about Bill Clinton. Never has, never will be."
Whilst they don't believe it's the 42nd President that the White House and Oversight Committee are protecting by 'staling' the final release of documents, they do believe there's someone else in mind.
In a new statement, again released to social media, Ureña called for the 'full and complete record the public demands and deserves'.
"What the Department of Justice has released so far, and the manner in which it did so, makes one thing clear: someone or something is being protected," she continued. "We do not know whom, what, or why.

"This includes, without limitation, any records that may exist and are subject to disclosure under the Act (Public Law 119–38 enacted Nov. 19, 2025), including grand jury transcripts, interview notes, photographs, and findings by the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York."
After failing to release all documents on time, the US Deputy Attorney General, Todd Blanche, previously told press that his team needed to protect the victims of Epstein.
He added that, with this supposedly in mind, thousands more would be released over the coming weeks on a rolling basis.
The latest remarks issued by Clinton's team came after they firstly referenced comments made recently by White House chief of staff, Susie Wells, in a controversial Vanity Fair interview, insisting there is 'no evidence' that the father-of-one travelled to Epstein's two private islands, where he abused hordes of underage girls.

In her Monday statement, Ureña claimed: "There are two types of people here. The first group knew nothing and cut Epstein off before his crimes came to light. The second group continued relationships with him after.
"We're in the first. No amount of stalling by people in the second group will change that."
She concluded: "Everyone, especially MAGA, expects answers, not scapegoats."
