Donald Trump has issued his response after it was reported that he was named in the Jeffrey Epstein files.

The 79-year-old has never been accused of wrongdoing in connection with the Epstein case, and being named in the documents is not evidence of any alleged criminal activity.

In 2019, Epstein was jailed on federal charges for the sex trafficking of minors before he was found hanging in his prison cell.

Since his death, the public and fellow political figures alike have demanded that official government files, which allegedly document the involvement of other individuals, be released to the public.

The US president has long been linked to the crimes of the convicted paedophile, along with a vast plethora of fellow huge-name stars, and it seems he is getting fed up with the discourse surrounding Epstein.

He recently slammed a reporter for asking about the files during a public Q&A, asking: "Are people still talking about this guy? This creep? That is unbelievable."

And, last week, he hit back after being accused of writing a shocking letter to Epstein in bombshell claims made by the Wall Street Journal, dubbing it as 'fake' before laying out his intentions to 'sue the a** off' media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who owns the newspaper that first published the claim.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Trump's name appeared 'multiple times' in the files along with many others, including other high-profile figures, in records held by the justice department.

The report further claims that the president was informed of his inclusion in May by attorney general, Pam Bondi.

Steven Cheung, a spokesman for Trump, has since called the report 'nothing more than a continuation of the fake news stories concocted by the Democrats and the liberal media'.

"The fact is that the President kicked him out of his club for being a creep," he added.

"The DOJ and FBI reviewed the Epstein Files and reached the conclusion set out in the July 6 memo," Bondi said in a statement on Wednesday (23 July).

"Nothing in the files warranted further investigation or prosecution, and we have filed a motion in court to unseal the underlying grand jury transcripts.

"As part of our routine briefing, we made the President aware of the findings."

FBI Director Kash Patel added: "The criminal leakers and Fake News media tries tirelessly to undermine President Trump with smears and lies, and this story is no different."

Tyla has reached out to the Trump administration for further comment.
