Donald Trump issues scathing response after being accused of writing leaked Jeffrey Epstein letter

The American President has branded the letter as 'fake' and said he plans to 'sue' Rupert Murdoch

Donald Trump has hit back after being accused of writing a letter to disgraced child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in new bombshell claims by the Wall Street Journal.

The American President has dubbed it as ‘fake’ and laid out his intentions to ‘sue the ass off’ media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who owns the newspaper that first published the claim.

He has accused the WSJ of fabricating the letter, which came as a collection that was compiled by Epstein’s former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, for his 50th birthday back in 2003.

This was around three years before the first sex-abuse allegations emerged against the criminal financier.

The paper alleged that a letter included from Trump had a few lines of typewritten text and a drawing of the outline of a naked woman.

They claim that it ended with the line: "Happy Birthday - and may every day be another wonderful secret," as well as the name ‘Donald’ scrawled across the woman, seemingly to look like pubic hair.

It also reportedly said: “We have certain things in common Jeffrey,” and “Enigmas never age. Have you noticed that?”

However, Trump has viciously hit back at the accusation, posting onto his own social media platform, Truth Social today (18 July).

He wrote: “The Wall Street Journal printed a FAKE letter, supposedly to Epstein. These are not my words, not the way I talk. Also, I don't draw pictures.

"I told Rupert Murdoch it was a Scam, that he shouldn't print this Fake Story. But he did, and now I'm going to sue his ass off, and that of his third rate newspaper. Thank you for your attention to this matter! DJT."

Even Elon Musk, who had a huge falling out with the President in recent months, rushed to his defence online.

In response to the letter, he wrote on Twitter: “It really doesn’t sound like something Trump would say tbh.”

In a separate post, Trump has instructed Attorney General Pam Bondi to release additional documentation relating to the Epstein case.

It comes as pressure is mounting for an alleged ‘client list’ of Epstein's to be released, despite the FBI and Justice Department saying such a document does not exist.

Trump, who has recently held the stance that he thinks people should move on from the Epstein scandal and he doesn’t understand why they’re still interested, has seemingly succumbed to the continuing demands.

He wrote on Truth Social: “Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval. This SCAM, perpetuated by the Democrats, should end, right now!”

Bondi then re-shared the statement on her own X account, confirming: “President Trump - we are ready to move the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts.”
