Video of Donald Trump aggressively telling reporter off for how he spoke to him sparks outrage

The US President launched an attack on Reuters White House correspondent Jeff Mason at the time

After Donald Trump berated a reporter last week for asking a question about the elusive Epstein files, a similar clip dating back to 2020 has resurfaced, again showing the President popping off at press.

The incident in question took place whilst the politician's first term in the White House was drawing to a close, during which Democratic leader Joe Biden was emerging as his successor.

Hosting several members of the press in the Oval Office at the time, a journalist questioned Trump about the claims he'd been making at the time regarding voter fraud.

Asked about his claim that he'd only leave the office 'if' the electoral college formalises Biden's win, the Republican replied: "Certainly I will, and you know that."

He added of the left-wing leader, however: "There's no way that Biden got 80 million votes. It's going to be a very hard thing to concede because we know there was massive fraud."

Seconds later, Reuters White House correspondent Jeff Mason attempted to ask the President a follow-up question, after which Trump suddenly snapped, telling him: "Don't talk to me that way."

Directing Mason directly, he continued, as per The Independent: "You're just a lightweight - don't talk to me, don't talk. I'm the President of the United States.

"Don't ever talk to the President that way."

Pointing at another member of the press, Trump went on to declare: "Alright, I'm going to go with another question."

As we say, despite being filmed almost five years ago, the video of the right-wing leader's outburst has been unearthed this week, sparking mass criticism online.

"Arrogance at its finest—and worse yet, he actually thinks he’s right," one X user hit out.

Another added: "The way he talks to people is disgusting. No empathy, no respect, just raw ego. It’s sickening to watch — I honestly feel nauseous. It’s abuse of power."

"A title does not grant you respect," a third continued. "Ask yourself have you respected EVERY boss you have had? Every supervisor? Act Presidential and maybe he will be treated like a President.

"He gets what he gives."

As we say, this is far from the first time that Trump has directed hostility towards members of the press, with the President slamming those who wanted more information on the Jeffrey Epstein scandal last week.

The 79-year-old hit out at a reporter who asked a series of questions about the Epstein files during a cabinet meeting, asking her: "Could I just interrupt for a second?"

Trump continued at the time: "Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein? This guy’s been talked about for years. We have Texas, we have this, we have all these things. Are people still talking about this guy?

"This creep? That is unbelievable. I can’t believe you’re asking a question on Epstein at a time like this, when we’re having some of the greatest success and also tragedy with what happened in Texas.

"It just seems like a desecration, but you go ahead.”
