Princess Eugenie's baby girl already has unique trait rarely seen in Royal Family
Princess Eugenie has welcomed her third child, with the arrival already mixing things up for the Royal Family with a trait they've rarely encountered - until now.
Announcing the news on Instagram, the proud mum shared a photo of the newborn, with the little girl wearing a pink onesie with wings.
Eugenie wrote: "Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie."
The baby was born at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal and weighed 6lb 9oz.

She will be 15th in line to the throne, after her three-year-old brother, but before Prince Edward.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement: "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, born on Monday, 3rd August 2026, at 6.20pm, at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal.
“Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of the royal family were delighted to be informed of the news.”
No word on the name yet, but judging by what the new addition's brothers are called, Eugenie may have opted for something fairly traditional.
The 36-year-old announced her pregnancy on Instagram on 4 May, sharing a sweet snap of her two sons, August and Ernest - who she shares with husband Jack Brooksbank - looking at the ultrasound.
"Baby Brooksbank due 2026!" the royal wrote in the caption at the time.
Many royal fans will no doubt be aware that Eugenie and Jack's newborn baby has already inherited a very unique trait held by only one other member of the monarchy.
The new arrival’s cousin, Athena Mapelli Mozzi, became the first Royal Family member to be part of Generation Beta - or just 'Gen Beta' for short.
Little Athena is the second child of Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
The tot was born in January last year, making her part of a generation of babies born between 2025 and 2039 that could end up being the first generation to live into the 22nd century.
Eugenie’s third child has also been born into this generation, which demographer and consultant Mark McCrindle previously predicted would 'grow up in a world shaped by breakthroughs in technology, evolving social norms, and an increasing focus on sustainability and global citizenship'.
In a blog post shared last year, he estimated: "Generation Beta will also inherit a world grappling with major societal challenges. With climate change, global population shifts, and rapid urbanisation at the forefront, sustainability will not just be a preference but an expectation.
"This generation will be raised by Millennial and older Gen Z parents, many of whom prioritise adaptability, equality, and eco-consciousness in their parenting."
He added that Gen Bs will be 'more globally minded, community-focused, and collaborative than ever before' as their upbringing will 'emphasise the importance of innovation not just for convenience, but for solving the pressing challenges of their time'.
For now, royal fans are simply celebrating the safe arrival of the newest addition to the family.
