New data has revealed the most popular baby names of 2025, as well as those we're set to see a surge in next year as Generation Beta babies continue to enter the world.

Every year, the BabyCenter releases an annual trend report that includes a slew of information about baby names to help parents-to-be make the huge decision of which moniker to give their child.

The data was sourced from more than 350,000 babies born this year from parents who registered their names on the BabyCenter app.

We all know it's a very important choice and of course, no parent wants their little one to be bullied for an unfortunate sounding name.

That being said, families are increasingly valuing unique names, while more traditional names that have been on the most popular list for years are being bumped off.

As per BabyCenter, Olivia and Noah held onto their spots as the number one names for girls and boys, while Eliana and Aurora joined the top 10 girl names for the first time, and Ava and Luna lost their spots.

As for the top 100, seven new girls names entered the list, including Juniper, Oaklynn, Sienna and Eloise.

But the data doesn't just list the names, it also delves into the trends that will be influencing baby names next year - and pop culture seems to be playing a huge part.

From The Summer I Turned Pretty's iconic Jeremiah vs Conrad love triangle to fans naming their babies after Severance characters, there's a lot of TV influence going on.

That's right - this year, the name Helena jumped a whopping 50 spots to number 313 for girls - who doesn't love the nickname Helly?

The name Isabel is up 17 spots for girls to number 187, and we can imagine there's going to be a lot of little Bellys running around rather than Izzys.

And for fans of The White Lotus, the monikers Belinda and Chelsea are rising for girls - 2,402 and 49 spots, respectively - while Valentin and Fabian are up for boys.

It's also not just TV and film causing the shift, with music and sport seemingly inspiring popularity.

Names featuring in Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter such as Rose and Jane are both on the up, with the former is up 19 spots to number 101 and the latter up 127 spots for girls to no 272.

As for basketball, the Oklahoma City Thunder had a historic run of wins on their way to the NBA Finals, taking the title for the first time in 17 years.

And some of the player's names got a big boost, with Jaylin (Williams) up 265 spots, Dillon (Jones) up 116, Jalen (Williams) up 86, and finally Isaiah (Joe and Hartenstein) up 10.

Not to mention TikTok trends such as 'cottagecore' paving the way for rises in the likes of Sienna (up 38), Eloise (up 30), and Juniper (up 24).

It also works the opposite way, with names involved in scandal going down the rankings - two of the most notable being Blake and Justin.

It likely comes after Blake Lively sued director Justin Baldoni and his studio last year, accusing him of harassment and trying to smear her after she spoke up with accusations about his behaviour on the It Ends With Us set.

Blake is down 85 spots while Justin is down 24 spots.

Robin Hilmantel, the senior director of editorial strategy and growth at BabyCenter, said: "This is the first year of Generation Beta babies. Our data shows how deeply pop culture - down to popular TikTok aesthetics - are widening new parents’ circles of influence.

"The baby naming process has gotten so much more creative, while also sticking to long-held rules - like if a name is embroiled in controversy, we’ll see it drop from the spotlight."
