Choosing the right baby name is a tough one.

Do you go for the 'safe' option or do you go for a 'North' or a 'South'?

Either way, no one wants their kid to get teased in school, or for their mum to get teased on the internet.

Mum-of-two Brooke Scheurn decided to name her newborn daughter after an aromatic spice - and has faced some criticism on TikTok.

Taking to the social media platform under the name tag @brookescheurn, the TikToker went viral after saying she has the 'cutest baby' name ever.

The clip from 2022 shows an intimate photo of the mum alongside her partner in hospital holding their newborn.

"Wow we can't believe you named your baby after a spice..." reads the text overlay.

Then a clip of he beautiful baby comes on screen and the mother writes: "Us not caring because she is the cutest baby ever."

Finally in the caption, Brooke reveals her daughter's name - Clove.

She wrote: "Her name is Clove & she is adorable."

Some viewers were really supportive, as one person commented: "This is perfect, and why would people be bother by that. This is your daughter and you decided on her name."

Another added: "She is so beautiful & her name is absolutely beautiful as well!!"

And a third viewer also revealed: "Me and my partner have picked the name Clove for our baby as she is our lucky tainowb."

It turns out Brooke isn't the only mum to name her kid after something you find on the spice rack, as another parent commented: "My daughters name is Saige."

Similarly, mum-of-two Chantel Schnider took to the platform last month to reveal to her followers what she decided to call one of her children.

In the video, the mum can be seen slurping juice from a jar of pickles, as the caption reads: "I'm going to get hate for her name but we will call her... Pickle."

Some viewers defended the mum's choice of name, as one TikToker wrote: "My 24 year old daughter has always been our pickle!"

"YOU HAVE TO DO THE PICKLE TREND!!! (cute name btw)," another commented.

While others were not so keen, with one user writing: "Don’t be surprised when she comes back from school crying."

A second added: "Pickle… will you marry me?"

Each to their own, as they say.
