Maria Shriver has shared her feelings about her son Patrick Schwarzenegger being naked in a viral scene of The White Lotus.

The latest season of the hit HBO drama landed on streamers earlier this month (16 February) and the first episode clearly set the tone for the rest of the show, given the fact that viewers were shown Schwarzenegger's manhood up close and personal in a full-frontal scene.

Set in Thailand, the third season stars Natasha Rothwell, Jason Isaacs, and Aimee Lou Wood alongside Schwarzenegger who plays the eldest son, Saxon, of the wealthy Ratcliff family, alongside siblings played by Sarah Catherine Hook and Sam Nivola.

While it's received some rave reviews, it's clear some viewers at home were seriously disturbed by the hints of a potentially incestuous relationship between the three siblings.

After arriving at the luxury resort, Saxon moans that his sister Piper (Hook) should not sleep in the same room as the youngest child Lochlan (Nivola) as they have 'full grown genitals'.

In the end, Saxon and Lochlan share a room with one scene showing Saxon make a number of remarks about his sister’s attractiveness and sex life and asks about his brother’s taste in porn.

Saxon then wonders how he’ll be able to 'jerk off all week' with his brother in the room, before walking to the bathroom fully nude.

Speaking to E! News about her son's landing the major part at the Keep Memory Alive's Power of Love Gala in Las Vegas over the weekend (22 February), Shriver said: "I'm really happy for him. He's enjoying his moment, and he's a really good actor, and he's worked really hard on it, so I'm really happy for him."

The interviewer then asked her about the 'not safe for TV' first episode: "What was your thoughts?"

"I just looked straight in his eyes," Shriver responded. "That's all I know."

Elsewhere during the event, Shriver recalled the exact moment the scene popped up on her screen.

"My kids were like, 'Did you see that?' And I was like, 'No. What?'" she told PEOPLE exclusively, before reiterating that she was only focused on Schwarzenegger's face and never looked any lower.

"So that shows you - a mother's eyes are always on the kids' eyes," she continued.

She also gushed about Schwarzenegger landing the role, continuing: "I was so happy for him because he's worked so hard. He takes classes, he's really been grinding at it for more than a decade, and he wanted to work his way up - and he's done it his way.

“I think it's a great moment for him, and I'm super happy for him," she continued of her son. "It actually makes me cry. I'm so happy for him."
