After an almost three-year wait, HBO viewers have finally been given their latest fix of The White Lotus.

The third season of the hit Mike White-scripted drama returned on Sunday (16 February) and it's clear things have already started off with a bang given the fact the very first episode sees Patrick Schwarzenegger's manhood up close and personal in a full-frontal scene.

And, while we're clearly all beyond buzzing to finally have the third season after what has felt like a lifetime of waiting, fans haven't been shy sharing a major complaint they have with one very specific element of the series.

The White Lotus season three is set in Thailand, while the prior two seasons were set in sunny Hawaii and rustic Italy, and stars a whole bunch of famous faces including the likes of Natasha Rothwell, Jason Isaacs, and Aimee Lou Wood.

And there's not just been a change of locations and cast as the beloved theme tune music has also switched up - something viewers are far from happy about with many taking to social media to vent their frustrations.

One fan of the series quipped on Instagram: "The White Lotus season 2 theme song united the world. I cannot believe they decided to toss that out all together."

A second penned: "Agreed. They did us so dirty with that one. The music was such a part of the whole WL experience."

A third echoed: "Very upset they changed the intro song."

"It truly was an anthem," lamented a fourth, while a fifth hit out: "Where’s my WOOOooooohhhOooohoooooooooooo?"

Someone else piped up: "I don't understand why they thought we would appreciate the change?!"

Fans have also voiced their gripes with the way the third season is being added to the NOW TV streaming platform - one episode a week.

At the time of writing, only the first episode is available to watch while the second doesn't get released until Monday (24 February).

Clearly annoyed by the situ, one X user demanded: "Why are streaming services dropping one episode a week? What happened to dropping whole seasons at once?? I’m not waiting a week for every new White Lotus episode along with Severance and Traitors. Make it ILLEGAL or something!"

The next episode will be available to stream on Monday (24 February) (HBO)

A second chirped: "Not me having to wait a whole week for the new episode."

"You are telling me I have to wait until Monday to watch another White Lotus episode?" asked a third, while a final X user added: "I don’t dislike the weekly format but waiting a week every week for another White Lotus episode feels like torture."

How to watch White Lotus in the UK

The White Lotus is currently available to stream on NOW TV and Sky Stream, included as part of Sky's cheapest-ever Sky Essential TV package (£15/ month).
