White Lotus fans in complete disbelief after spotting Harry Potter star in latest series

Viewers have been left in shock after figuring out which Harry Potter star features in the latest series of White Lotus.

The hit Mike White-scripted drama returned earlier this month (16 February) and in the first episode alone, HBO viewers were treated to the introduction to the awaited third season which saw Patrick Schwarzenegger's manhood up close and personal in a full-frontal scene.

The White Lotus season three is set in Thailand, while the prior two seasons were set in sunny Hawaii and rustic Italy, and stars a whole bunch of famous faces including the likes of Natasha Rothwell, Jason Isaacs, and Aimee Lou Wood.

However, it was the appearance of Isaacs, who plays the role of rich businessman, Timothy Ratliff, who brings his family to the luxury resort after facing some mysterious legal trouble back in the States.

Before making his White Lotus debut, Isaacs played another famous dad - none other than Draco Malfoy's father, Lucius, in the hit Harry Potter film franchise between 2001 to 2011.

Clearly shocked after spotting the A-lister without his signature platinum blonde wig, one fan said online (via Teen Vogue): "It took me almost the entirety of the first episode of season 3 of White Lotus to realise that that was Jason Isaacs.

"I was a fervent believer that there was no way that people wouldn't know that was [Miley] just because she had on a blonde wig, but after being duped for the 100th time, and not realising that was Jason Isaacs without his blonde bussdown, I can now [confirm] that that could actually happen."

A second social media user echoed: "It’s crazy how i got Hannah Montana'd by Lucious [sic] Malfoy’s actor being in White Lotus S3 because his North Carolinian accent was too good for me to realise it was him without his blonde wig lol."

"Omg I just realised he is Lucious [sic] Malfoy!" buzzed a third, while a fourth said: "Spent the entire episode thinking he looked familiar and wondering where I've seen him before. Y'all that's LUCIOUS [sic] MALFOY!"

A fifth quipped: "Lucious [sic] Malfoy with a southern accent was not on my bingo card!"

Isaacs previously played another famous dad... (Warner Bros.)

"I kept thinking watching White Lotus Season 3 who is this evil dad and why do I know him… that joker is Lucious [sic] Malfoy," echoed another.

And a final Twitter user admitted: "Oh wow, that’s Lucious [sic] Malfoy? No wonder I’m a little turned on..."

Who knew all it took to confuse people was a different haircut and accent?

With a Harry Potter TV show in the works, the question is could we expect to see any of the cast from the films featuring too? Well, Isaac was asked if he'd be interested in reappearing in the franchise and he jokingly revealed he had his eye on a particular role - and no, it's not Lucius.
