Sydney Sweeney was put in quite the awkward situation when she took part in a lie detector test yesterday.
The Euphoria actress, 28, is doing promo at the moment with her co-star Amanda Seyfriend for their upcoming movie The Housemaid, which is hitting UK cinemas on Boxing Day.
Based on the popular book by Freida McFadden, it follows a young woman with a troubled past (Sweeney) who becomes the live-in housemaid for a wealthy family. However, their seemingly perfect life unravels when she discovers their household hides dark secrets beneath the surface.
In the run-up to the psychological thriller being released, the duo have been doing a slew of press interviews, including Vanity Fair's iconic lie detector test.

The unique interview format sees celebrities answer a series of questions and undergo a polygraph test that deciphers whether they're telling the truth or not.
And in this edition, Seyfried didn't hold back with one question in particular she had for Sweeney.

The actress, 40, said: "There's been a question on everyone's minds recently, and I just have to ask. Are your boobs real?"
Sweeney laughed and answered immediately with "Yes!" before Seyfried continued: "Have you ever had any work done on them?"
The Anyone But You star responded: "'No, I've never gotten any work done anywhere."
And the polygraph examiner confirmed that yes, she was telling the truth - not that women should have to answer questions about their bodies, as really it's not our business.
It's actually not the first time within the last few months that the actress has been quizzed about her assets.
In an interview with Allure on Monday (8 December) again with Seyfried, she got to select a 'beauty rumour' she would like to debunk, which prompted her to take the opportunity to stop the ongoing gossip.
She clarified: "Let’s debunk them all. I mean, I have never gotten work done. I am so scared of needles, you have no idea."
Hitting out at the 'evidence' some people claim to use against her, she added: "I just, you guys, you cannot compare a photo of me from when I was 12 to a photo of me at 26 with professional make-up and lighting.

"Of course, I'm gonna look different! Everybody on social media is insane!"
Sweeney added: "Also, if I did, you guys, my face would be even."
The actress explained how she suffered an injury near her left eye when she was younger following a wakeboarding accident, which required 19 stitches.
She revealed: "One eyelid opens a little more than the other. So I feel like it pulls like my eye just a little differently than the other."
Reacting to the latest interview, some social media users have questioned why we're even asking about Sweeney's body so much.
One Twitter user penned: "In 2025, why is this even a question? Why does it matter and how is it anyone's business? Please, let's make 2026 better by minding our own business and respect people's privacy."
While a second wrote: "I can't believe we're still doing this to women."
And a third penned: "A Lie Detector Test to determine if an individual has implants?"
