Nella Rose's feud with Fred Sirieix has been one of the most talked about moments of I'm A Celebrity so far.

On Monday night's episode, Nella opened up to Fred about the passing of her late father back in 2020.

Fred later made a passing comment about how he was old enough to be Nella's dad.

The YouTube star found this 'offensive' and 'disrespectful' and vented about it in the Bush Telegraph.

She explained: "Last night after dinner Fred made a comment about him basically how he could be my dad.

"I took offence to that because one of the first conversations we had together was me opening up about the fact that my dad’s passed away."

Nella later ignored him over breakfast before asking him to 'leave her alone'.

Fred later apologised to Nella but she wasn't having any of it, saying: "You only get one chance to disrespect me.

"I accept your apology but let's not be friends. How about that?"

The interaction between the YouTuber and First Dates host has since sparked a conversation online.

One X user wrote: "I hope Nella softens her stance towards Fred cause he definitely wasn’t being disrespectful.

"This is also Nella’s introduction to a wider audience and I hope the personality that so many people have loved her for comes across on the show."

Nella was offended by Fred's comment.

While someone else offered a slightly more balanced view, saying: "It’s a very sensitive topic for Nella so can’t police her feelings, Fred definitely didn’t mean it offensively though."

As well as commenters online, Fred's fiancee, Love Island star Indiyah Pollock and Loose Women's Janet Street Porter have also come out to comment on the situation.

However, according to former I'm a Celeb campmate Richard Madley, there might have been a 'hidden reason' for the argument.

Richard, who was a contestant on the ITV reality show in 2021, revealed that he thought hunger might have been the cause.

"It just shows that you're in there for a couple of days, you haven't had enough to eat," he explained on Wednesday's (22 November) episode of Good Morning Britain.

"That's the point, you haven't had enough to eat, honestly."

Co-host Susanna Reid agreed, adding: "Richard, you just mentioned there, the hanger [hunger and anger] that you get because of course you were in the castle!"

Richard famously was medically evacuated from his season.

Susanna then asked: "Was that because you hadn't eaten enough?" to which Richard replied: "It might have been?

"They put it down to low blood sugar, basically, and dehydration.

"So yeah, it might have been but I couldn't come back in because I had broken the COVID bubble, which existed then."

Adding: "But yeah, what you find yourself, well, I found myself doing is very consciously controlling your ill temper because you are ill tempered.

"You know what we're like when we're hungry, you get ill tempered. You have to very consciously control it.

"I guess something like that, very sensitive to do with the death of the father, then it will burst and we saw that happen."
