I’m A Celeb's Fred Sirieix's fiancée speaks out after explosive row with Nella Rose

'First Dates' maitre'd Fred and YouTube star Nella are at loggerheads

We're only three episodes in to the brand new 2023 series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, and it looks like we already have a celebrity feud on our hands.

And surprisingly, it doesn't involve Nigel Farage!

During last night's instalment, First Dates maitre'd Fred Siriex and YouTube star Nella Rose went head-to-head in an explosive row, after the latter claimed she felt 'disrespected' and 'offended' by comments he made the evening prior.

During Monday night's episode, social media favourite, Nella, opened up to the restauranteur about her parents' passing - with her dad having died in 2020, and her mum having passed away when she was just 19.

Later on, during dinner, fellow I'm A Celeb star Fred, 51, seemingly innocently joked that he could be 'like her dad', something which left Nella deeply upset following her loss.

During last night's show, 26-year-old Nella discussed her hurt feelings as she told the Bush Telegraph: "Last night after dinner Fred made a comment about him basically how he could be my dad.

"I took offence to that because one of the first conversations we had together was me opening up about the fact that my dad’s passed away.

Fred and Nella became embroiled in a spat last night.

"I didn’t say anything about it last night because I was kind of just annoyed about it."

She went on: "So, I slept on it and I kind of thought about it and I was just like, this is not the kind of person I want to be around."

As Nella's admission aired on ITV, Fred's long-term partner - whom he refers to affectionately as 'Fruitcake' - took to social media to have her say on the drama.

She re-shared an Instagram Story upload from her partner's official Instagram page, which read: "Tough watch for some of the show tonight but Fred did us so proud – we know his intention would never be to upset anyone."

Fruitcake added: "Keep your head up Fred – we love you."

Later in last nights' show, Fred picked up on the fact that Nella was ignoring him.

"Can you leave me alone?" she told him, to which Fred answered: "OK."

He went on to ask, however: "What have I done to you?"

"You know that my mum’s dead, and you know that my dad’s dead," Nella replied. "You know that, right?"

She continued: "I’ve come to find out that every time I wanna get creative around the fire or I want to have something my way, my own food that I am entitled to, my way, you tend to get an attitude, right?

"So yesterday, when I wanted to burn fat that you were going to throw away anyways, it’s not even something that we needed to survive in camp, you turned around to me, with an attitude and said, ‘You know I could be your dad, right?’.

Fred apologised for his comments.

"To me, I don’t care how you said it to me, it’s disrespectful and I don’t want to talk to you. I don’t want to be around you. I only allow people to disrespect me once. You hurt my feelings."

Fred was quick to apologise for his comment, insisting he never intended to hurt Nella's feelings.

"I am so sorry. Can I just say? First of all, I am sorry I’ve offended you," he told her. "I am unaware that you felt offended.

"I am unaware that what I said would lead to this conversation, I only said that in a way because I am older than you, I am 51 and you’re 26."

But Nella was quick to hit back, telling him, "I’m not stupid, you’re not going to little girl me, you’re not", before declaring that the duo should 'not be friends'.

I’m a Celeb airs on ITV Sunday to Friday at 9pm and Saturday at 9.30pm.
