It looks as though every man and his dog is chiming in on the on-screen feud going on between I'm A Celebrity stars Fred Sirieix and Nella Rose.

After Fred's partner 'Fruitcake' had her say on the drama, which has been airing on ITV over the last two nights, a close friend of Nella has now defended her.

And that pal is none other than Love Island finalist Indiyah Polack, who with 26-year-old Nella hosts the successful social media series The Pink Courtroom.

During last night's (21 November) instalment, Nella claimed she felt 'disrespected' and 'offended' by comments Fred made the evening prior.

Nella previously opened up to Fred about her parents' passing - with her dad having died in 2020, and her mum having passed away in 2016 when she was just 19.

Later on, during dinner, fellow I'm A Celeb star Fred, 51, seemingly innocently joked that he could be 'like her dad', something which left Nella deeply upset following her loss.

During last night's show, Nella discussed her hurt feelings as she told the Bush Telegraph: "Last night after dinner Fred made a comment about him basically how he could be my dad.

"I took offence to that because one of the first conversations we had together was me opening up about the fact that my dad’s passed away."

Despite Fred apologising for his comment, Nella insisted that the duo will 'not be friends'.

After watching the explosive episode, Fred's long-term partner - whom he refers to affectionately as 'Fruitcake' - took to social media to have her say on the drama.

She re-shared an Instagram Story upload from her partner's official Instagram page, which read: "Tough watch for some of the show tonight but Fred did us so proud - we know his intention would never be to upset anyone."

Fruitcake added: "Keep your head up Fred - we love you."

Today (22 November), however, Indiyah admitted she predicted the pair clashing from the get-go, due to their 'big' personalities.

Appearing on the ITV talk-show Lorraine, Indiyah explained: "I just feel from first impressions, Fred has such a big personality and it could maybe come across as bossy.

"And Nella has a big personality herself so I could see them clashing, I didn’t expect it to be over this."

The Love Islander - who reached the final back in 2022 alongside boyfriend Dami Hope - did admit, however, that she doesn't believe Fred intended to hurt her friend.

Indiyah defended Nella on Lorraine.

"I don’t think Fred had any malicious intent. But none of us are Nella in a sweaty jungle, eating rice and beans. I do hope they can get over it," Indiyah said.

And after Lorraine suggested Nella might have been better addressing Fred's comment immediately after he made it, as opposed to harbouring her emotions.

Indiyah then replied: "I think the whole situation can be taken with a pinch of salt. With knowing that Nella’s father passed away, maybe Fred could have thought about that."

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs on ITV Sunday to Friday at 9pm and Saturday at 9.30pm.
