Harlan Coben's long-awaited crime thriller starring Michelle Keegan is finally out and fans all over have taken no time binge-watching the entire thing in one go.

However, it seems not everyone is as obsessed with the series as others as some Netflix viewers have since pointed out a major issue in Fool Me Once that 'ruins the show'.

Check out the official trailer here:

Joining Keegan will be a star-studded cast featuring with the likes of Murder Mystery star Adeel Akhtar playing Detective Sergeant Sami Kierce and Absolutely Fabulous icon Joanna Lumley, who will lead alongside Keegan as Judith Burkett.

The thriller gives fans an incredible adaptation of the popular novel Fool Me Once, written and published by Coben in 2016.

The official Netflix premise of the series, which is the streaming platform's eighth Coben adaptation, reads: "Harlan Coben’s Fool Me Once follows Maya Stern (Michelle Keegan) who is trying to come to terms with the brutal murder of her husband, Joe (Richard Armitage).

"But when Maya installs a nanny-cam to keep an eye on her young daughter, she is shocked to see a man she recognises in her house. Her husband, who she thought was dead...

Harlan Coben's Fool Me Once premiered on Netflix on New Year's Day.

"Detective Sergeant Sami Kierce (Akhtar) leads the homicide investigation into Joe's death while grappling with secrets of his own. Meanwhile, Maya's niece and nephew, Abby and Daniel, are trying to find the truth about their mother's murder, several months earlier.

"Are the two cases connected? Fool Me Once follows these characters on a thrilling hunt for the truth that will reveal shocking secrets and change their lives forever."

While many fans are utterly obsessed with the crime thriller, it seems a few are particularly irked by Maya and the way she handles the investigation with some viewers taking to X, formerly Twitter, to voice their frustrations.

One user hit out: "Maya is so annoying on Fool Me Once. She finds out one little detail in her investigation and announces to everyone.

Some viewers have called Michelle Keegan's character 'annoying'.

"Absolutely ruins the show. Why can’t you shut up instead of revealing every move to everyone who could listen? Annoying."

A second chimed in: "Fool Me Once is soo good but Maya be p*ssing me off. Every time she finds info out her stupid a** let’s the wrong people know she knows."

"LOL watching Fool Me Once and this Maya character is not very discreet for a special ops officer," penned a final viewer. "Telling everybody and the postman 'I saw Joe', girl use your brain do you wanna find answers???"
