The confetti has barely settled after Lorenzo and Julia were crowned the winners of Love Island 2026, but they already have some sweet idea about what to do with the cash prize.

The pair, who first met during the show's dramatic Casa Amor twist, quickly became one of the villa's strongest couples. After surviving weeks of public votes and proving their connection, they were crowned this year's champions during Monday night's (27 July) live final, taking home the £50,000 cash prize to split between them.

But now that the celebrations are over, fans are all asking the same question: what on earth are they planning to spend the money on? Fortunately, the winning couple have already revealed exactly where the prize fund could be going.

Business owner Lorenzo said his experience on the show helped him realise he appreciates sentimental items as well as more expensive gifts which has influenced how he’ll spend the money.

“I want to get myself a nice token from this experience, maybe a watch or something to commemorate it. I’ve realised I’m quite a sentimental person,” he told The Sun.

“Last night I kept the cork from the champagne that they gave us after the show.

“Just little things to celebrate what a journey it has been.”

Meanwhile, insurance broker Julia said: “Heels! I’m getting myself a nice pair of heels.”

To which Lorenzo replied: “And maybe a good holiday.”

For many, the ways they were looking to spend the money confirmed them as worthy winners, with one fan writing on X: "Watches? Heels? I freaking love these two."

Another said: "NO BECAUSE I DON’T EVEN HAVE WORDS. THEY’RE SOOOO THAT COUPLE. The chemistry is actually doing overtime."

What percentage of the votes did Lorenzo and Julia get in the Love Island final?

The voting figures revealed Lorenzo and Julia won with a massive 62.4 percent share of the popular vote, almost double the votes received by runners-up Jasmine and Kavan, who got 37.6 percent.

Angelista and Simba finished in third place with 26 percent of the vote.

Lorenzo's journey was one of the season's biggest rollercoasters, packed with love triangles, fan speculation and plenty of villa drama.

His romance first blossomed with Jasmine, with the pair quickly becoming early favourites thanks to their undeniable chemistry.

Even after they decided to call things off, many viewers remained convinced there were unresolved feelings between them, with speculation repeatedly resurfacing that Lorenzo still had eyes for Jasmine whenever they crossed paths in the villa.

Lorenzo later explored a connection with Yasmin Hadlow, but despite showing early promise, the romance never truly took off, with Yasmin eventually turning her attention to Tommy Stagg.

Everything changed during Casa Amor, where Lorenzo met Julia Majchrzak, and the pair formed an instant spark that survived one of the show's toughest relationship tests.

Julia wasted no time making her mark on the villa, earning a reputation as one of the season's most fiery Islanders thanks to her outspoken personality and tendency to involve herself in everyone else's relationship drama, whether she was offering advice or stirring the pot.

Some of the most memorable Love Island UK feuds

Kady McDermott and Malia Arkian - season two

While Malia takes the crown for the shortest stint on Love Island, it’s certainly one to remember.

In 2016, she entered the villa on day seven and took Scott Thomas on a date. However, the move didn’t sit well with Kady McDermott, who was coupled up with him.

The pair came to blows when Malia accused Kady of spilling a drink on her, leading to an explosive altercation, which resulted in Malia’s swift removal just hours after she arrived.

Maura Higgins and Tom Walker - season five

Maura had her sights set on bombshell Tom when he rocked up to the villa two weeks into the 2019 series.

However, it was quickly derailed after she selected him to spend a night in the Hideaway, as he blew his chances before they even got there.

Maura overheard Tom telling the boys, ‘it'll be interesting to see if she is all mouth or not’, and the comment went down exactly as you’d expect.

Amid a whole bunch of (understandable) f-bombs, she revoked her invite and the pair never really recovered from it.

Jonny Mitchell and Theo Campbell - season three

Perhaps one of the show’s most iconic clashes, Jonny and Theo butted heads back in 2017 over a love triangle with Tyla Carr.

It came to a head during a tense recoupling when new boy Theo decided to pick Tyla, who was happily coupled up with Jonny.

The shock move resulted in Jonny calling Theo a ‘gigantic b*****d’ before they squared up to each other. Theo hilariously also branded his rival a ‘tuna melt’.

While the two eventually made up, Theo couldn’t help but throw one last dig when Tyla was in tears as Jonny was dumped, saying: “I think if Tyla really liked him she should go as well really.”

Anna Vakili and Jordan Hames - season five

Not long after Jordan asked Anna to be his girlfriend, he confessed to fellow islander Curtis Pritchard that his head had been turned by bombshell India Reynolds.

Anna soon found out and confronted Jordan in an explosive row, shouting: “What kind of guy asks a girl to be their girlfriend and two days later they crack on with another f***ing girl.”

She immediately called time on their relationship and the pair were soon dumped by the public.

Amy Hart and Curtis Pritchard - season five

The pair were initially considered one of the strongest couples of the 2019 series (which seems to have been full of drama); however, that all came crashing down after the infamous Casa Amor.

Even though Curtis came back to the villa alone, he admitted that his head had been turned by Jourdan Riane and couldn’t promise Amy that it wouldn’t happen again.

She called him a ‘compulsive liar’ and was left heartbroken, eventually deciding to leave the villa to protect her mental health.
